dont think so. you can select dynamic weather for the track, might be more settings havnt came across them though

it needs to be unlocked aswell as the top gear track. think they may be unlocked after completing the top gear and mercedes challenges

Ah, cool, hope so.

I would be really disappointed if I can't take a leisurely drive on either, lol.

For the record, the menu and cursor work blazing fast when you are disconnected from PSN. As soon as you connect to PSN, they start freezing up again.

For those asking me for a standard photo, this is from photomode:

<snip>

Wow, that is pretty bad round the edges of the windows. Why are the issues with the standard cars so varied?

Here is a shot of a premium beside a standard MX5 I did:

Seems it isn't as bad as some of the other standard cars. The wheel arches and the "scoop" at the front are the most noticeable parts. Didn't notice any other issues with it from other angles though. Certainly nothing like that early MX5 photo that was going round...

I've never played a racing game with a wheel before, but what a difference it makes! The feedback is amazing, so GT5 for me so far is amazing. I understand the anger about the standard cars not having a generic cockpit view, but the cars which do are mind blowing!

I'm going to give it a good going over, over the next few days, but so far, so good.

Time to Install

3:41 Start

4:18 End,

37 Minutes To Install On My End

So looks like the 40 minute claims were not an exaggeration at all. That is pretty insane, and not in a good way.

Wrapping up work, then off to play.

Why are my photos not as big as yours?

Woot! my copy just arrived this morning :) problem is I'm only just started my day at work :( gotta wait till this evening before I can play it.....still have mixed feelings, not sure what to expect when I fire it up tonight.

Cheers, no one seemed to know how to unlock it if you could.

It is really the only level I want drive out of all of them, lol.

To be honest, I only found out how to unlock it about 10 minutes ago, as I was going through the AMG Driving School challenges to get up to Level 15, so I could do the S License. :p

I couldn't answer his question because I haven't even looked :) To busy trying to earn some credits to buy me a NICE DAMN CAR!

I've already got plenty of credits. About half a million now, and I've spent bugger all. :p All I've spent money on is my first car (the used Civic Type R), and then an oil change for it.

Mine took at least 45.

I did install my own hard drive right when I got my PS3, 7200 RPM as well, so wonder if that is the difference?

And I think AWBrian said it, but just have to chime in, absolutely brilliant introduction movie, no doubt about it. The visuals combined with the piano, sheer awesomeness.

And Woah, just was playing with the settings as I missed adjusting the screen, and I saw the whole thing for attaching a Playstation Eye camera. Apparently if you hook one up "it enables the head tracking feature. With face tracking, moving your head side to side will shift the view of the camera as you race. Face tracking only works when using the interior view of the car. ... This feature can be used to create an even more realstic experience."

I may have to check this out, put my playstation eye to some use.

Let me know how it works!

Ergh, the Top Gear Elise track, my god, how annoying.

Pos Elise controls like a bar of soap in wet bath, I've been so close to winning 1st and the slightest accidental turn or nudge has disqualified me, it's just stupid at this point.

Yeah, I messed that challenge up so many times. I managed to do it when I realised that by default, the stability management was turned off, so I turned it on during the race, and it was much much easier to control the Elise! :)

Haha! Still waiting for my game to be delivered by Amazon and it's 3PM now. Someone is gonna get a poor service rating from me. :shiftyninja:

Just saying, since when does Amazon deliver things? If they shipped it out on time, maybe the carrier should get a poor service rating and not the vendor who has no control over the package once it leaves their facility.

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
