Anyone doe the last Karting special race?

I just can't seem to get better than 4th, I can take the corners perfectly but never catch up with the first 3 guys who race off into the distance, and the karts behind me catch up somehow and try to over take me on the straights yet were all driving the same one so they can't be faster.

There must be something I'm missing because I've got a gold in all the previous Kart races.

How do i make my B-Spec driver grow a set of balls and not brake hard every corner?

Give him 700BHP Muscle Car against 200BHP Classic Cars and he comes 7th?

Wish i hadnt sold my VW Lupo now i need one and only way i can get one is to get my B-Spec driver to do the Euro Hatchback races....

I'm not quite getting how your suppsoed to drive in the Rally special races either, they don't skid around like crazy, but they also don't stay on course, and the cars they give you seem to hate turning corners and will just decided to die if you hit around 20-30mph and will just stop.

I don't drive a car myself, but I'm hoping I just don't understand how to drive Rally cars, lol.

The kart races are easy period Wheel or controller, i'm using a DS3 and got gold on all of them even the Top Gear challenges, rally challenges and license test.:shiftyninja:

CorrisD helped me out with one of the cars but here are the rest he suggested to use, apparently you can only gift one car per person a day so he couldn't do the rest.

The list doesn't have to be followed exactly just cars that will work for the below events.

Beginner:

Suzuki Cappuccino '91 for Lightweight K Cup

Honda 1300 Coupe 9 S '70 for Japanese Classics

Ferrari 512BB '76 for European Classic Car Championship

Chevrolet Corvette Convertible '69 for World Classic Series

Amateaur:

Dodge RAM 1500 LARAMIE Hemi Quad Cab '04 for Truck Challenge

Use the Ferrari 512BB '76 again for the Festival Italia

Use the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible '69 again for Classic Muscle Car Champ

Use the Ferrari 512BB '76 again for the Supercar Nostalgia

I am only playing for the next 30 minutes or so, but I mistakenly purchased a 63 Honda to do the Japanese Classic races in the A-Spec beginner races, and simply put, the car blows. I even dumped some money into the tuning, and to no avail, acceleration is still awful. I can get into first place, but then in the straight away all cars fly past me. I basically just wasted 60000 credits, and I feel like a real idiot. blush.gif And it is not like I had many credits to begin with, I am now under 200000

Turns out I can play until 11 PM, so on for another hour. I also need a 1960-1979 car for the European Classic in the A-Spec races.

Also, I was able to take 1st place on the Japanese Classic, even with my crappy car, but the second track I have no chance at all, as it is turn, straight away, turn, straight away

Only good news is I started doing the Nascar special challenge, so I got back all of my CR and then some already that I wasted on that POS Honda, just still sucks I basically wasted about 60,000 CR on it.

I agree with everything you have said here, I hate the painting options and the used car dealership. I can't completed half of the races in beginner or amateru because of certain cars/trucks I need but cannot find anywhere. They really should have taken some notes from Turn 10 on the way the paint system, tuning shop (ability to sell unused parts) and the dealerships. Dont brag about 1000+ cars when we can't even access half of them at any one time. Other than that I am really enjoying the game so far.

it seems maybe a surprise or something, but GT5 looks like its also got a focus on some form of community which is centered around lending and swapping cars... maybe thats another 'Japanese' trait, turning it into some kind of collectible card game... like its easier to progress in the game when you have people willing to lend you cars

Getting a bit fed up of GT5.

Spend 3 days fannying about with my B-Spec driver, watching him dawdle around the track for 10 minutes at a time, trying to get him up to spec so i can enter him into a series of races so i can win a car i need to continue my own career which i cant because the retarded AI drives slower than the other computer AI despite giving him a car that is usually at least double the BHP and Speed of the other cars, after all that one eventually turns up on Used Car list so i buy it spend more than double i just bought the car for to do it up so its only just about as competitive as the other cars in the race, spend 10 mins racing and what do i get, the same goddamn chuffing car i just bought and spent money upgrading.

Why not just give me another chuffing car for another series of races i need so im not sat for days waiting for one to come up on Used Cars.

Is it just me or is there a lack of events in this game? I'm finding myself repeating certain races just to make money to buy a car for another event? It isn't too bad doing it once or twice but where make about 20k in total from a 3 race series, you have to repeat them a good few times which gets really boring. Why can't they give you the money from repeating the special stages. I am not trolling but i really liked the Calender system in Forza, it gave you a nice mix of races and a lot of them.

I'm trying really hard to like this game.

Sure, sounds good. I would appreciate it no doubt. I definitely know I do not have it, the only older car I have right now is the POS Honda I purchased yesterday, everything else is on the newer side, like past 2000.

I just got into the office for work, so I am a long, long way off from playing tonight. So post back in like 9 hours when I can play. :(

Just bought a Premium Mustang, and did some mods such as supercharger, exhaust, engine and it sounds great at idle but once you start moving it sounds like a rice burner...
