Got a question I'm running low on credits, how many times do you redo all the races to get some car you need.

Do a championship race, how far are you? There is a race thats on the speedway that you can use your fastest car and get like 17000 credits - 3 laps takes about 4 minutes biggrin.gif

Also if you do the tuned racew in expert the winnings I think is 90000 credits if you place first??

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I started to do B-Spec once I hit a money wall. :D

It's a pain to do it but I you get more cars :D doing it too, then you could sell if you want :D

And you can use the same cars as before from the A-Spec

Loving the B-Spec mode. S. Mann is the driver. He has reached level 18 and I can say he is now better than me. The trick here is to give the drivers ridiculously powered monstrosity so they can demolish the competition with fewest commands. He is midway in terms of temperament.

Also enrolled new lady driver with name B. Sweet. She levelled up to 8 in just three races on Professional tier.

LOL...tow truck in GT5?

That is too funny..

This happened to a friend of mine but I didn't want to believe him...This game is getting better and better...

However, even though the game is infested with bugs, I'm still considering a move to PS3 for this game.

You can have PS3 in conjunction with 360, but I wouldn?t recommend completely moving to PS3 (or any one particular system as matter of fact).

Information on Update 1.03

Adds

?My Lounge? options for an online race, a new ?Mechanical Damage? setting is available for the event with three settings, as described by the scrolling information bar on the bottom of the screen:

  • ?None? ? No mechanical damage.
  • ?Light? ? Mechanical parts can be damaged, but will ?automatically be repaired after a short time has passed.?
  • ?Heavy? ? Mechanical damage will be more severe, and can only be repaired by making a pit stop. Damaged parts will be indicated with on-screen icons.

In regards to campaign and arcade:

"So what's the catch? Oh, there's a catch. You can only access these options from your "lounge", not as part of the single player "campaign" or the more immediate "arcade" mode. So many of you won't be noticing it in the game mode you spend the most time in!"

Huh? Have I missed something or not quite understanding?

These damage patches only affect online? So we won't actually see it in the main section of the game we are playing? Is that what you're trying to put across? Sucks if so, there is definately damage in the single player campaign though as I've often given my Lambo a brush with the wall a little too hard.

That is the case, online only. They are talking about the mechanical damage (broken gear box, tie rods, blown engine, etc.), not the exterior physical damage.

Ah okay, not really been reading too much outside this forum so don't always know the full details of stuff.

Beware of the 1.03 patch. Got this from another forum:

"The latest Gran Turismo 5 patch (1.03) is causing some problems but it seems not everyone is suffering...

Supposedly, the patch is causing some GT5 gamers to lose their car collection, prompting them to reinstall the game from scratch."

Wasn't there a post in this thread before saying that mechanical damage was part of the game and that the reviewers were wrong? Now I'm confused.

Mechanical damage is in the game, the patch is adding settings to toggle damage on/off for online races.

Yeah, I didn't notice the difference between physical and mechanical until AWBrian pointed it out. It makes sense now.

    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
