GT5 To Get Web-Browser B-Spec Mode

Gran Turismo 5, it appears, isn't finished. Technically, it probably never will be, with Polyphony promising to add features above and beyond what we'd normally expect of a game that's been on the shelves for a couple of weeks.

In addition to the recent updates, including today's online damage settings, it looks like the studio are planning some really killer features for the near future, including a web-browser based B-Spec mode that will allow you to monitor your AI drivers from the comfort of your laptop, if translations are correct.

Speaking on Twitter again, Kaz Yamauchi is answering public questions openly and candidly, as he has done in the past.

He's also mentioned that racing your mates on your custom designed tracks might also be in the offering soon enough.

Does anyone have a Ferrari I can borrow? I really need one for the Ferrari race, and I've heard that there is a '76 Ferrari that is good on the Historic Racing Car Cup. I'm really hoping someone can help me. Maybe we can set up a trade if there is a car someone needs?

Can someone hook me up with a car for the beginners Japanese Classic race? (about the 5th time I have asked, I will give up after this)

Also for the next tier up, I think it is Amateur, can someone hook me up with a Pick Up Truck for those events with the Pick Up Trucks?

I will definitely be playing a bit later on tonight, in about 3 hours, so if you can send either of those cars my way, I will be able to send them back tonight, especially the one for the Japanese Classic, as I only need to do 2 of the 3 of those races.

The way I did the Ferrari race was to buy a 458 Italia, and then get racing tyres for it. I can't remember if I did anything else to it; I'm pretty sure I didn't, but just putting the racing tyres on it meant it was more than able to keep up with the Enzo. The Enzo still beats it a little bit on the straights, but that's it. :)

Beware of the 1.03 patch. Got this from another forum:

"The latest Gran Turismo 5 patch (1.03) is causing some problems but it seems not everyone is suffering...

Supposedly, the patch is causing some GT5 gamers to lose their car collection, prompting them to reinstall the game from scratch."

No problems here.

Doesn't it seem strange, virtually every time a new system update becomes available or a title update to a big game is released on PS3, articles seem to pop up left, right and centre about how it's destroying people's consoles...it really does get tiresome.

Looks like I'm the next person to jump on the shameful car-borrowing bandwagon. :p

I'm in need of two cars for Expert Series championships; one for the Historic Racing Car Cup (anything from 1979 or earlier), and the Gran Turismo All Stars (no restrictions). Here's the list of typical opponents for each series:

Historic Racing Car Cup

788 BHP 620kg Toyota 7 Race Car '70

789 BHP 1000kg Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98

789 BHP 950kg Audi R8 Race Car (Audi PlayStation Team ORECA) '05

Obviously, I would prefer anything near the top of the lists. :p I'll promise to send back the cars after I've finished with them. If I'm doing bad with them, then there's a good chance you'll get them back with some upgrades on top. ;)

Argh, the final race at Daytona in the NASCAR championship is agonisingly annoying! After about a dozen retries after being spun out every time, I just came 2nd, only 0.027 seconds behind the leader!

nascar races are usually that close. that sucks though...

my hatred for nascar means i'm never going near those specials.

DL add me as a friend on PSN and I'll send you what I used to get all golds on it.

Thanks, much appreciated, I just saw this thread this morning or I would have done it last night, I got obsessed over that stupid Volkswagen bus Top Gear Special Event.

Anyway what is your PSN name?

EDIT - Never mind I found it in the PSN post...

(just putting it here so I have it for later)

How about a patch to make the A-Spec, B-Spec, Arcade, License and Special AI smarter?

I'm good with only B-Spec.. cause my AI Driver can't overtake anyone on Tsubuka. :p. Which is like my home track. lol.

    • Microsoft released new Defender update for Windows 11, 10, Server ISO installations by Sayan Sen Microsoft releases new Windows Defender update packages very frequently to protect against various newly discovered malware. Once a while every three months or so, the company also pushes out these updates to Windows images (WIM and VHD) and ISOs, that are used to install Windows. Hence with the newest Windows 11 update available via the official MCT tool, you should get these definitions. This update package is necessary as a Windows installation image may contain old, outdated anti-malware definitions and software binaries. Aside from better security, these updates can also provide improved performance benefits in some cases. When a new Windows installation is set up, there may be a temporary security risk due to outdated Microsoft Defender protection in the OS installation images. This happens because the antimalware software included in these images might not be up to date. Thus Microsoft says that these updated definitions essentially help close this protection gap. Microsoft delivered the latest security definitions for Windows images via security intelligence update version 1.445.323.0. The Defender package version is also the same. It applies to Windows 11, Windows 10 ESU, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021, Win 10 Ent LTSC 2019, Win 10 Ent LTSB 2016, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2016. Microsoft writes: "This package updates the anti-malware client, anti-malware engine, and signature versions in the OS installation images to following versions: Platform version: 4.18.26040.7 Engine version: 1.1.26040.8 Security intelligence version: 1.447.236.0" From Microsoft's security bulletin, we learn that the security intelligence update version 1.447.236.0 was released early last month and adds threat detections for various malware like trojan, backdoor exploits, ransomware, stealers, AutoKMS, and more. For those wondering, the latest intelligence update is version 1.451.297.0 at the time of writing.
