Thanks smile.gif Actually, that makes a lot of sense. I'm working through B-Spec and it seems clear that eventually those 24 hour endurance races could actually be 24 real-hours. Well, maybe not, but this looks like it might have some use then.

Anyone know if you end up having more than 1 driver and end up swaping them in and out of the car in longer races. Just started and want to ensure I don't invest ALL my time in 1 driver :p

You don't get to pick the gift car btw. :p

And I wouldn't be surprised if it is a set car too, lol.

FUUUUUUUU

Man that sucks, they made it seem like a gift that I can choose. So will just get it tonight if I play.

just to clear this up all of the endurance races are based on real time, also when you do get to the 24Hr events you should have 6 drivers to swap out as each of them will eventually get tired and mess up.

I haven't got that far, but it was becoming clear that this is what was going to happen. Thanks for clarifying.

It's a ball-ache though having to build each additional driver up to an equal level as your others. I'm putting a lot more hours into B-Spec than I am in A-Spec, even though I'm further into A-Spec. My drivers are level 11 I think, but they are racing level 15 races, because I've completed the others. This makes it hard for them to do well without spending a fortune on my cars. The answer, it seems, is to go back and race in races at your current level even if you've already completed them, which seems like a bit of a waste.

Yes it is pretty bad but what makes it worse is that you cannot pause the game in B-Spec.

POWER!!!! Doesn't always win races :p Just realised that in the early races you can simply pump the BHP up and win every race, but when you get to the extreme series (lvl 20+) its much more difficult. This is a good thing, but now how to tune a car..... Any GT5 guide out there? I've only seen the GT4 one on GTPlanet, actually I'm looking for a tuning calcuator as well some guides are in-depth and I'm outa my league

Where are the tuning options? I can see where to change tyres, but what about adjusting the ride height or tweaking the gear ratios? Where's all that gone?

If you want to do it outside of races, you have to go into the garage, select the car, then there's a Tuning button next to Change Car.

Yeah, I got that far, but then what? I can choose which parts to put on the car, but I can't see how to make adjustments. Hmmm, I need to look a bit deeper into this because I'm obviously missing something.

If the part is adjustable, then there should be a little icon on the right side of the part when you go to pick the parts during tuning. Select that, and then you make the adjustments.

Ok say you bought the Adjustable Suspension. Go to your Garage-> Tune-> Suspension. Then move your cursors to Select the little dial button on the side of Adjustable Suspension.

Larry you care to send me that souped up Yaris? :p

I really cba spending my hard earned money doing up mine.

Don't need a video to show this sort of stuff, anyone who couldn't see how it had been set up in a corner vs a straight was a fool to the usual fanboyish nonsense.

Though I had already posted a few videos after someone posted the first one showing the AI was perfectly fine at getting past you when you don't purposely park in the corner of a track.

Proof is a fanboys biggest weakness tongue.gif

Not to mention, we don't need a video to show us that the AI needs work, because if you played the game, it plainly obvious.

Have to agree with you there. I am level 17 and still have not seen an improvement in AI. There are two types of AI, the 3 designated to take first, second and third. The rest are designated to block me and have no physics to worry about. The AI does not promote racing. It promotes moding my car so that I can blow past them and then drive the track all by myself. A good AI is very possible, F1 2010 has a decent AI and makes the racing fun, GT5 AI makes the game frustrating or boring. As for the video, yes sometimes the AI will go around you but most of the time they will smash right into then turn you side ways and keep the gas to the floor pushing me like a snowplow so yes the AI sucks.

Sorry just reading this now, I can send it in like 10-15 minutes!

Should have waited. It literally hurt spending the cash on tuning up that clunker.

I done it earlier after doing the intermediate mercedes school, earned quite a bit.

And yes, it hurt laugh.gif

    • ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE keyboard is 27% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE is currently $159.99 on Amazon, down from $219.99. That's 27% off and $60 saved on a keyboard that combines retro and modern design, while being one of the most responsive and adaptable 75% boards available right now (purchase link down below). The ROG Falchion Ace comes with the HFX V2X magnetic switches that allow you to set actuation anywhere between 0.1mm and 3.5mm with 0.01mm fine-tuning steps. It also comes with Rapid Trigger, a feature that resets the key the moment you release it rather than waiting for a fixed reset point, which makes a noticeable difference in fast-paced games. And finally, an 8,000Hz polling rate should make the response time feel instant. The build quality is decent, with dense plastic and powder-coated aluminum, which is expected from a keyboard at this price point. There’s also the onboard adjustment wheel, which lets you tweak actuation and Rapid Trigger sensitivity without opening any software. For competitive gaming, the ROG Falchion Ace is hard to beat at this price. And those who appreciate old-school hardware, especially those white keyboards we’ve all grown up with, will likely also appreciate the looks of this keyboard. A carry case is included.
