Finally finished! Got in 211 laps, and finished 10 laps ahead of the next guy. The prize money was terrible, but I'm up to level 27 now, so got another endurance race unlocked, which I'll be attempting tomorrow. Just checked it, and it's 90 laps around Laguna Seca, but you're allowed to use any car you want, so I'm gonna take the Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89 out there; should be done in an hour and a half. :p

Golded the GTR Seasonal Event with 2.8 seconds gap between myself and the GT

Just drive the car with those settings. Use your head. I was riding the GT's ass on lap 4 but got a little aggressive in my excitement and took the final turn a bit wide. A bit of throttle control on the straightaway should get you to 165-166. Throttle control on the turns with these settings should allow you to accelerate while hugging the corners.

Work great, came 2nd on my first go (Y)

Decided to hop on and play, has been over a week if not longer, was hoping to get a wheel (still am) but just sick of waiting for it. So can anyone possibly log on right now and let me borrow either a pick up truck for the Pick Up Truck Challenge in the Amateur series or a Mazda Roadstar, also in the Am series? I will be on for the next 30 minutes or so, and just trying to finish up all the Am races, those are the only 2 I have left, and yeah, trying to save some money is all.

Also, are there any good sites/resources up yet that show walkthroughs, well really the best cars to use and buy, for each event?

I can send you my done up roadster?

Do the new seasonal events, they give you lots of money.

I sent him a message asking which car he wanted 20 minutes ago, since I was sitting next to my PS3 I figured I would get on and send something, but he hasn't replied to me, maybe he doesn't want my cars, lol.

I've also noticed this game doesn't pause when at the XMB or if your controller disconnects/turns off, I was in the middle of a race and had to restart because the battery went and the race continued and the car just carried on past a corner and smack into a wall.

The seasonal events have really helped me. I kind of hit a wall, where I needed experience points and cash to get to level 23 to buy a car competetive enough for the All Stars race on Expert and Like The Wind on Extreme.

I had been using B Spec to grind through for the cash and bonus cars, but it just wasn't getting there and tbh I was getting a little ****ed off. I tried a few different cars and spent money on tuning, but it just wasn't working out. Thanks to the seasonal events I've levelled-up and bought a Gillete Vertigo Race Car for about 2 million from the new online dealership thingy. Just took it for a spin on Trial Mountain in the All Stars race and it's a winner, so I'll have a go at completing that later. I had to tweak the aero, suspension and gears, but this car is also good enough to win Like The Wind (got the Minolta Toyota now as well.)

So, a break through!

I still need something to compete in the Historic race on Expert. Anybody got any suggestions?

Sorry, forgot to add my PSN ID: MGS3_Grayfox

I'm not at the PS3 right now but you can add me, might just give you a really nice car to start you off as i'm getting a lot of duplicate cars from my B-Spec mode that i already bought.

Sent you a pm on the PS3 Larry.

Sorry man, I had played for like a half an hour, then walked away, and left my PS3 on the entire time. I am just seeing this all now this morning. Your cars are fine by me, I will take them. tongue.gif

And AB, I will take your roadstar, sure. (Y)

What is funny is I wound up finding the season events on my own without even seeing this thread until now, decided to enter the Ford GT one I think it is, and i wasted SO SO much money trying to get this car capable of winning. That is when I left off, I still did not win, I had to purchase a 5 speed transmission I can switch, then switch the top speed, and I gave up there.

Yeah just to follow up with everyone who sent me messages last night that I did not see, pretty much once I put my PS3 on for the night, it stays on until it Auto shuts off, as I also use it for my main media server, etc., so I really only played about 20 more minutes after posting, then watched some Robot Chicken Star Wars, then turned my TV on and the PS3 stayed on, so was not ignoring anyone, just did not know. I will take anyone's car who is nice enough to offer, do not worry about that. laugh.gif

I use a fully modded '70 Challenger, with race modifications. Golded both events :)

Seriously? :o I'm about to try it with that, but I'm highly doubtful I'll win with it, because even though it's only about 20 BHP down on the Toyota 7, it's also double the weight!

OK, I can't do it. I can get to 2nd easily, but that Toyota 7 is in a league of its own. The only way I can get to 1st is to bash it out on the first corner then work back up to the rest of the pack. :p

I've RM'ed the Challenger, and installed every upgrade possible. I've also got the transmission set to 199 MPH, and I've got max ride height, and full downforce on the rear, but it still sucks in the corners. What did you do to it?

Maxed it completely, with racing mods (No settings changed, stock fully adjustable suspension). All driver aids off apart from ABS (1). You need to get to 1st on the first corner, then just hold your place. It helps if you cut the last corner on Deep Forest, but isn't needed. I managed it on a sixaxis, you should have no problem with a wheel :p

EDIT: Just remembered I decreased downforce on the front a bit to make it turn a bit better.
