The new seasonal events don't have restrictions, so do them with overpowered cars and win easily a lot of XP.

SWEET! :woot: That's just what I needed! I'll get on there later today. :)

I'm pretty sure this hasn't been posted here yet...

Amazing. :) I found a great comparison video in the related videos of that one (same driver in both videos, and he's also using the same BMW M3):

Well, I've just won all five of the new seasonal events. 3.5 million credits, 350,000 XP, and I'm only at level 28; 210,650 / 501,386 XP. :( I have still got a hell of a lot of XP to get before I reach level 30.

Anyone got a NASCAR I can borrow for seasonals please?

I am still trying to get 1st place with it right now, once I get it I will send it your way. It is tough. I had 2nd place, and like a true idiot I wound up going into the pit, which is literally right around the corner from the end. I was literally gutted.

So yeah, just fired it up, should be about 30 minutes to 45 minutes (hopefully), but I plan on stopping to watch the NFL playoffs anyway, so I can send it your way regardless in no more then an hour or so. You still interested?

I have done the harder 3 of the new seasonal races, so going to go and do the first 2 at some point as well. Definitely. But these are all great, spend some money to make a lot. Definitely worth it.

Sent it your way, I finally got 1st in that event. That was pretty much the hardest one so far, at least for me.

So send it back whenever you are done, and enjoy. (Y)

Thanks Larry hopefully won't have it for too long!

Anyone have a suggested car list for each event?

It's not THAT unlimited. :p You're limited to just one eligible car for each one, but then you're allowed to do whatever you want to it. You'll need a Toyota Prius G '09, a Lotus Elise 111R, an Audi TTS, a Ford GT '06, and the Citroen C4 WRC.

Maybe im in the wrong section? I just went to the seasonal events and did a drift on trial mountain and didn't receive anything...

AFAIK, you don't get anything for doing the time and drift trials. You only get money and XP for doing the bonus races.

Just saw this. Ridiculous the XP and money they are giving away!

Im assuming i can only win once./

yeah you can only win the races once. just did the mini one in a maxed out 07. hardly a challenge.

they should put a limit on mods to the entry car. would make it more fun.

the new seasonal events? ive never seen one where i can use cromeline or stelth cars.

I meant in tuning the cars, but yeah, there is still the restriction to one specific model.

The Toyota Prius event was so boring it was not even funny (easy, but super boring).

Does anyone have a Citroen C4 WRC they'd mind lending me? 800k is a lot to spend on something I'll likely only use once. I'm willing to pay for upgrades and send it back when done.

If you complete the Loeb Rally Challenges on Gold, which you have to use that car for anyway, they give it to you afterwards.

Once you get the hang of getting round the corners of the first, the second and third are pretty easy.

I would think a lot of people are having to the buy the car and mods for it, unless they've already saved up millions via repeating A-spec races. The more you spend on tuning (making it easier), the less you actually win. So it pays to tune enough, rather than just max the car.

Just won the Nascar round the Nordschliefe race (no tuning). Was really fun once I tamed the rear wheel power via the setup. :D

I would think people do the seasonal events for the XP, not the credits. Credit grinding is easy on A-Spec and B-Spec anyways, grinding XP is another story.

Is it just me or does the AI in this game sometimes plain retarded?

I just did the Formula GT championship on B-Spec. One of the races was raining, so I put the Race: Rain tires on my Formula GT car. The rest of the drivers had normal racing tires (so they went super slow), and did not go into the pit once to change them. I ended up winning by a 9 lap margin.

Maybe I'm just the worst GT5 player in the world but I truly cannot comprehend the penalty system in GT5 (particularly in the license tests). It seems so random and stupid it's beyond words! I mean I've had races when I've rammed the back of the car in front of me (due to failing to brake quick enough) [which in many other times has got me disqualified] then as a direct result of that go off the track completely [which also has got me disqualified numerous other times] and the game disqualifies me for a slight brush with a car as I return to the track :s other times just going a pixel from the side of the track is enough to get me disqualified. The there is the whole thing with the AI being immune to the penalty system, they cut corners to get fast times (which would get you disqualified) and if they ram you, you get disqualified. Ok I think that is enough of my rant now...like I said maybe I'm just a crap driver but like to hear others thoughts on this?

    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
    • If the drive/memory is soldered to the board, which it probably is, then it's a no from me
