not sure I do...next up for West Ham is Chelsea

:p

Any Chelsea - West Ham game is worth watching, apart from the Lampard boing I loved every single one I watched to date.

And Happy Birthday!Hope you have a wonderful day! :fun:

It's unreal how the cycle keeps on going

It really shouldn't be surprising about Van Perise but It's terrible how Walcott seems to get injured every time he hits form.

Former Liverpool and Lyon boss Gerard Houllier has been appointed the new manager of Aston Villa.

The 63-year-old left the post of technical director at the French Football Federation to return to English football after six years away.

He takes over from caretaker Kevin MacDonald, who had been in charge since Martin O'Neill left on 9 August.

Club chief executive Paul Faulkner said Houllier "understands the ethos of our Club and shares our core values."

The length of Houllier's contract has not yet been revealed, but he will be formally presented to the media on Friday, with his first game in charge away to Stoke on 13 September

"Two of the key qualities which we identified as being of crucial importance in our search for the new manager were experience of managing in the Premier League and a strategy for building on the existing strengths in our current squad," said Faulkner.

"Gerard Houllier comfortably satisfies these criteria."

Houllier admitted it had been a "very difficult decision" to leave his post in France but he was "very happy and proud to join this great and historic club.

You're right. And it sucks seeing, for example, a hat-trick against Blackpool, and now he's out for weeks. It's frustrating.

Yeah and it doesnt apply only to Walcott.. it happens to all our players who hit form.. lets go year by year... Eduardo, Cesc (plus Rosicky and Nasri), RvP (plus Cesc and Arshavin), Walcott.. RvP every year plus 1 or 2 more who are playing well seems to be the formula :/

Thomas Vermaelen has added to Arsenal's injury woes after he was ruled out of tomorrow's match against Bolton Wanderers with an Achilles knock.

Vermaelen, 24, has joined Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner and Aaron Ramsey on the sidelines. His withdrawal should see new signing Sebastien Squillaci form an all-French centre-back partnership with Laurent Koscielny.

Wayne Rooney left out of Manchester United Squad to face Everton.

Wayne Rooney has been left out of the Manchester United squad for the Premier League game at Everton on Saturday.

The England striker, who is at the centre of allegations about his private life, has been spared an expected hostile return to his former club.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Everton boss David Moyes refused to discuss 24-year-old Rooney's private life ahead of the game.

Meanwhile, Rooney, 24, and his wife Coleen have appealed for privacy...

For you Rappy!

"Avram Grant hands debuts to new signings, right-back Lars Jacobsen and striker Victor Obinna, as the Hammers go in search of their first points of the season. Chelsea call on Brazilian playmaker Ramires for the first time in place of the injured Frank Lampard. Captain John Terry has recovered from a hamstring complaint to make his 300th Premier League start alongside Branislav Ivanovic, who is preferred to Alex. Salomon Kalou gets the nod ahead of Florent Malouda in attack. "

..... sorry to say old chap.....West Ham 0-1 Chelsea (Essien)

I really hope for your teams sake they can get something out of this match!

Uggh, nice one Man U. Let's just throw away two points.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Goodison Park: "You could sell tickets to be inside the Manchester United dressing room after Everton score twice in injury time to take a point. Sir Alex Ferguson and his team will be wondering how they have allowed victory to escape. Goodison Park is rocking after that stunning finale, for United it is the careless casting aside of victory. How wise does the decision not to play Wayne Rooney look now?"

    • Ignoring the fact that this "colony" kicked the empire of King George's arse during those early years... You are confusing the First Industrial Revolution (which was clearly pulled out of some butt-hurt Brit historian's arse after the fact) with the Second Industrial Revolution (aka now called the Technological Revolution, undoubtedly by that same butt-hurt Brit), which transitioned the world from the UK/UPS Empire to the USA as the world's only superpower. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Revolution I hope you realize that I am having big fun here.
    • OpenAI announces GPT‑5.6 Sol, its next-generation flagship model beating Claude Mythos 5 by Pradeep Viswanathan Credit: OpenAI OpenAI today announced a limited preview of its new GPT-5.6 model series, which includes the Sol, Terra, and Luna models targeting different price points. GPT-5.6 Sol is the flagship model targeted at demanding reasoning and agentic workloads. GPT-5.6 Terra is positioned as a balanced model for everyday work, featuring performance competitive with GPT-5.5 while being half the cost. GPT-5.6 Luna is the fastest and most affordable model, delivering strong capability at a lower price point. Unlike previous model releases from OpenAI, GPT-5.6 is starting with a limited preview for a small group of trusted partners due to U.S. government restrictions. As expected, OpenAI previewed its plans and the models' capabilities to the U.S. government ahead of launch, and the government asked OpenAI to limit the first wave of access to select partners. OpenAI also mentioned in the official announcement blog post that it does not believe this type of government access process should become the long-term default. OpenAI highlighted that GPT-5.6 Sol comes with a robust safety stack featuring improved protections for higher-risk activity, sensitive cyber requests, and repeated misuse. The company also spent several weeks pressure-testing the system and hardening it against real-world attacks. On the capability side, as expected, GPT-5.6 Sol is OpenAI’s strongest model yet. It delivers better results in agentic performance across coding, biology, and cybersecurity. On the Terminal-Bench 2.1 benchmark, which tests command-line workflows requiring planning, iteration, and tool coordination, GPT-5.6 Sol sets a new record with a score of 91.9%, beating Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5. Additionally, GPT-5.6 introduces a new "max" reasoning effort for even deeper reasoning. The new "ultra" mode uses subagents to accelerate complex work beyond what a single agent can handle. Pricing starts at $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output tokens for Sol. Terra costs $2.50 for input and $15 for output, while Luna costs $1 for input and $6 for output. GPT-5.6 comes with more predictable prompt caching, including support for explicit cache breakpoints and a 30-minute minimum cache life. Sol will also launch on Cerebras in July at speeds up to 750 tokens per second for select customers. OpenAI plans to make GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna broadly available in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API in the coming weeks.
    • I'm not sure if you are trolling because I saw people saying this with the straight face, but there were no United States of America when industrial revolution started, just United Colonies 🤣 p.s. I'm not British, so I'm not offended.
    • Glad I uninstalled this incredibly buggy browser. Looking at that changelog, they clearly don't test their updates at all.
