he's not getting sacked...

Well I'm not a big Liverpool fan.. but this still came as a shock to me blink.gifwacko.gif Would have been understandable even if you lost to a Championship side but losing to a League 2 side and that too to The Cobblers.. who are a midtable side in League 2.. What's happening to Liverpool?

they are rebuilding and it takes time, i personally already wrote off this season because hodgson is still finding/making his team. I bet he makes at least a couple of more moves in and out in terms of players this coming january transfer window.

It all started to speed going downhill when Xabi left and was not replaced. Now you also need to find a replacement for Mascherano ASAP. But have you got the money?

On the opposite side of the spectrum..

Arsenal are expected to reveal club record profits tomorrow and that they have repaid the debt on their Highbury Square development six months early, according to Press Association Sport.

The Gunners are understood to be set to announce a ?30 million windfall from the sales of flats on the site of their former ground. With this money paid back, and the cost of the Emirates Stadium easily covered by income, a rosy picture is expected to be painted for the year running until June 2010.

Arsenal expect to beat the 24 per cent rise in pre-tax profits to ?45.5m posted this time last year. A ?4m rise in Premier League income to ?51.7m and Champions League income to ?27.3m are reported to be presented.

The Highbury Square development debt stood at ?133m at one stage but has been wiped out after the property market picked up. The only money outstanding is for the Emirates stadium, with ?220-230m left over and ?16m interest per annum which will be cleared by 2031.

I wish I could afford one of these apartments.. :p

yup, we miss xabi. and can't have money if you don't have an owner.

Roy won't get sacked so soon. There has been no squad investment, and another key player has left. The owners are to blame, not the manager, and if anyone expected instant results, then their faith is sadly misplaced.

Liverpool will be in a pretty similar position for a while now until the ownership and debt issues can be sorted out, and teams that can buy their way to success will come to the fore more and more often.

    • Too late for a slightly older computer I had that didn't meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 but had great hardware. I installed ubuntu on that thing and gave to a friend's kid.
