Leaked Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Beta Screenshots Are Fake

So out of all the apps they've changed you stick IE and office together because they were redone in the same year, so thus, hey they shoudl be redone yet again. That makes no sense at all. IE isn't tied to office anyways, their UI's don't need to be changed at the same time either. You also sidestep the fact MS has been changing the UI's for other apps as well outside of office, like i bring up.

You said that "Why stick to the current and old IE interface when you've changed pretty much everything else?"

I was pointing out that IE has in fact been redesigned. People act like it hasn't, but it has, and it happen right about the time when Microsoft introduced all their major GUI changes. While it is true that they have also added a Ribbon (a >four year old design) to a few other applications since then, I have no idea how this means that they will redesign IE. What does the Ribbon have to do with IE? Nothing.

In order for them to work in any new features they might have, a redo of the UI, to some extent should be done.

What features in particular are you referring to that require a redesign of the UI?

And it's been said by others that they are redoing the UI. I don't see why, and your reasons for it are weak, that they shouldn't.

Still there isn't a single source for the claim. Not one. Not a single one. They might redesign it, but not a single poster here who claims they intend to know anything at all about it at all. They are simply expressing their wish that it be redesigned, nothing more. It's pretty much routine on here to confuse personal wishes with facts. I just looked at the WP7 thread, and there was some guy saying that Flash will ship in the first update, but oops, then it turns out that he doesn't know this at all and was just stating what he hopes will happen as fact.

Now Flash might ship in the first update, and Microsoft might redesign IE, but until there's any actual evidence of it, I see no reason to expect it.

I don't see why, and your reasons for it are weak, that they shouldn't.

I keep waiting for someone to tell me the reason why they are changing it. What's wrong with the design and why it's reasonable to expect that it is being changed. So far I've seen none. Not one. The closest I've seen is "they've added the Ribbon control to a couple of programs, and this obviously means that IE is being redesigned." I don't understand how that follows.

    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
