I am now going to dedicate at least 90% of my time in this game to hardcore search and destroy I was born for that game type (Y)

search and destroy is definitely the best mode if you are trying to rack up experience. but for me free for all is my fave, doesn't matter what the game it is. I just want to kill people.

HQ is really good for getting EXP too.

If you get a team that wants to actually play HQ. Right now I play with a group of 4 others, totaling 5 with me and when we play we usually do very well because the other team is just trying to get kills (as usual) and they get mad because we win the game so fast. I wish these kiddie's would get off the KDR hype and actually play. They surround the point and just try and kill us without ever trying to take the point, we kill them pretty quickly and take it. They get upset.

Hard core servers dude, it's the only way multiplayer is fun for me.

I am getting there, just want to learn the maps first. I only play HC on MW2 so I will soon migrate on BO. I watch all the people running around using the steady aim perk and never scoping up. I have made a point not to do this so I will be ready when I transition. I have my sleight of hand pro equipped, really makes a difference.

definitely don't, on the servers i have been playing lately nubs who try that get owned soo quickly.

What's wrong with using steady aim? It's less accurate by far to shoot from the hip but you're more mobile - it's pretty balanced.

I followed rajput's lead and am very much enjoying Commando with red dot and silencer w/ ghost, warlord pro and ninja :ninja:

I think the thing about the suppressor making your weapon more powerful is false - it seems to me it just nullifies a bit of recoil and your opponent has that slight delayed response to your shooting.

You lose the reticle in HC. If you get in the habit of never scoping up you get beat on pretty hard in HC because steady aim is far less accurate.

^ the HC servers i play on you don't.. I usually lose the HUD though.

now make your gun have the white camo and be an artic guy and go play a map with snow and you'll own. especially when you prone.

So, what do you guys use?

This is my main class:

  • Aug (assault rifle) + Red Dot Sight
  • China Lake (launcher)
  • Ghost Pro
  • Sleight of Hand Pro
  • Ninja Pro

And my secondary class:

  • Spectre (SMG) + Grip
  • Makarov (pistol) + Extended Mag
  • Lightweight
  • Sleight of Hand Pro
  • Ninja Pro

I use the main one for maps with large open areas like Firing Range and Crisis. I use the secondary class for maps with smaller areas like Havana and Nuketown. It's surprisingly effective in close quarters combat. For both classes, I use the following: Semtex, Concussion, and Claymore.

I would encourage you to at least try the AUG with a suppressor instead of a Red Dot for a couple of rounds (I do this because the ADS on the AUG is already pretty awesome)

Also I highly recommend to anyone that likes sniping to put an ACOG Sight on the L9 just aim anywhere near the guy an 80% of the time headshot!

I cant even think about playing on HC servers until the game is patched (PCwise) so thats its playable, the sudden drop in fps is getting very frustraiting, while i can still get a good kd in most games (2.0) it would be much better if it didnt freeze and jump around, but if i play on HC think id get killed without even seeing who was shooting at me

Anyone know when the pc patch is due out?

I mainly use the one below and have a replica with the Commando instead of the Famas..

  • Famas + Red Dot Sight (custom, blue)
  • Crossbow
  • Ghost
  • Sleight of Hand Pro
  • Marathon Pro
  • Frag
  • Flashbang
  • Claymore

Sounds like a good combination. Instead of Crossbow I'll use an anti-air weapon of some sort. Also semtex is more useful than frag IMO.

Yay for the modded clan tags on the Xbox version. Everyone resume battle-stations and report them! I really don't want to see this game ruined by modders.

You can also color the clan tag if you prestige high enough. Might not be hacking, just probably not likely that anyone's reached Prestige level 13 unless they've prestiged once a day.

Yes, I understand you can color the clan tag at the high of a prestige but I'm already on the 3rd prestige and people already within once doing so have the colors, just saying. It doesn't bother me that their clan tag is a different color but I remember the MW2 days.

Clan tag color has nothing to do with modding an Xbox at all right now. There's just been a bug that was leaked that allows people to change clan tag color without being the required prestige. It'll end up getting patched eventually.

You can see here how to do it: http://www.blackopsforum.com/showthread.php?t=8299

So yeah, no modding.

Missing the point although I appreciate the link. Clears up some confusion on my part.

I did mention some weren't even prestige yet, so if it's not "unlocked" due to an minor bug that allows you to get it when you prestige once or twice...then theres the reason I say it seems like a mod. I'm not complaining as I said as well, I'm just hoping IT DOESN'T happen.

I'm not missing your point at all. You cried modding/modders and your cry was debunked. It's just a bug.

Yes I completely had tears running down my cheeks as I sat here thinking about how I complain about every little detail on every little game I play (you or webhosting to be exact). It's comical but I'm not going to throw any insults around.

There's a difference of having a FEAR of a GOOD GAME being ruined by a POTENTIAL MODDING group. CRYING about something such as a clan tag is something I wouldn't CRY about when it's already "in the game" to be "unlocked."

It seems as if you always want to start arguments, why don't you learn to be nice and not act as if you know every single godly detail. It's quite annoying and I'm sure I speak on behalf of a lot of people. Then again, it's the internet and your a female...I should have known better this is where you come to vent with your boyfriend and yes it's quite sad I know this much about you just from reading.

So yes, you and your small little ego did miss the point. Thanks for playing, next?

When I wrote 'cried' and 'cry', I didn't literally mean "crying" in terms of physical tears.

So easy there tiger.

I completely understood exactly where you going with your words and what you said. It's the fact you had the mean details behind the words is the fact that I took it to a sarcasm level, although I'm done talking about this issue as you gave me the link and moving onward. Thanks.

    • I think this will appeal to a lot of enthusiasts. If the thermals are similar to those of a single system in a compact case, many people running multiple systems may choose to combine them into one machine, provided the case footprint remains reasonable.
    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
