portal 2 just started downloading a 700-800 meg update , i think it might be the dlc.
The DLC is 1.37 GB on the 360. Maybe it's smaller on steam because of different Packaging? Or some surprise from value to 360 users? We know they are Microsoft were working on something.

Looking forward to the new chambers, blows that they cant be dynamic or something for replayability, after going through a chamber once, other then time clock, no real reason to go back

finished downloading the update appears to be the dlc have challenge modes and leader boards now under singleplayer.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall this being in the singleplayer or original co-op levels. Possible hint at a mechanical Aperature arm in Episode Three?

Interesting. Must've strolled right by it on my playthrough.

You have to portal into it. It's a door that's slightly cracked open. I haven't seen anyone post about it on the Steam forums... wonder if no one else has found it or if it's just old news. It seems familiar -- can't recall if it was in Portal 2 before.

I got to the final chamber (nine) before my partner rage quit for no reason. He just said "f--- it" and left. I'd been solving all the other puzzles, but he made it seem like I was such a horrible partner, hah. Oh well, getting that far with a random isn't bad.

The asset is new, but I think you're over-analysing it. The area in question is littered with bits of Atlas and P-Body prototypes, including some of the old "red eye" style bots.

Portal 2 to get in-game level creator:

In Portal 2, players were made to complete a series of devious and deadly tests constructed by the sadistic GLaDOS. Players will soon be able to put themselves in the AI antagonist metaphorical shoes, as developer Valve today announced that it is working on an in-game editor that will allow users to create and share their own single-player and cooperative mode test chambers. The update is set for release early next year.

Co-Op Comes to The Perpetual Testing Initiative

Are you sitting down? If not, you should sit down. Okay, are you sitting down now? Because you should probably actually be lying down for this: As of right this moment, we are giving all current owners of Portal 2 a 75% off Portal 2 coupon. That's right: Puzzle creators can now design and publish co-op maps, which puzzle players can now greedily consume. Well, as long as they have a co-op partner. Which the 75% off coupon should help them (i.e.: you) find. We've also added a "Quick Play" feature that creates never-ending, auto-generated playlists of the top-rated maps in a variety of categories. It has literally never been easier to figuratively jump in and literally play some Portal.

      Microsoft released new Defender update for Windows 11, 10, Server ISO installations by Sayan Sen Microsoft releases new Windows Defender update packages very frequently to protect against various newly discovered malware. Once a while every three months or so, the company also pushes out these updates to Windows images (WIM and VHD) and ISOs, that are used to install Windows. Hence with the newest Windows 11 update available via the official MCT tool, you should get these definitions. This update package is necessary as a Windows installation image may contain old, outdated anti-malware definitions and software binaries. Aside from better security, these updates can also provide improved performance benefits in some cases. When a new Windows installation is set up, there may be a temporary security risk due to outdated Microsoft Defender protection in the OS installation images. This happens because the antimalware software included in these images might not be up to date. Thus Microsoft says that these updated definitions essentially help close this protection gap. Microsoft delivered the latest security definitions for Windows images via security intelligence update version 1.445.323.0. The Defender package version is also the same. It applies to Windows 11, Windows 10 ESU, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021, Win 10 Ent LTSC 2019, Win 10 Ent LTSB 2016, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2016.
