Nah I meant. I never done a fantasy league. What's the point, how do you determine teams and what not?

you pick players you think will do well during the season. Point are determined by goals, assists, hits, shots etc etc

mm sounds simple enough.

Joined and selected a few players. I guess on draft day, I find out if I get the players I selected? And do you have to be there during draft (i'll be at work for at least an hour after start time) or does it do it automatically?

if your not there it'll do it automatically. and welcome to the pool :)

Oops. I've been ignoring Neowin recently but I remembered that today was draft day (and the Canadian premiere of Stargate SG-U).

Yes, we solved our hunt for the 8th member to allow us to draft and also picked up our 9th member (which is good in its own way).

The problem now is that we need to re-hunt for a 10th member to allow us to draft (since we need to have an even number of teams).

Still, I'd rather have more teams given the choice.

We have to have the draft before Oct. 7. Is there a better time and date?

I changed it because we didn't get the 10th person until an hour before. Going by the other posts here, people we asking to have it delayed.

Would it be a problem if we moved it to 6pm PDT on the 3rd? Is that too soon? I would like to participate in the draft, but the current time it's set to is way too late for me as i have work. If not then i'll set up my list and let the computer do it's thing.

I got no problem with the 3rd. I figured Monday evening might be easy for others. Hopefully a few others will chime in by tomorrow afternoon so I can alter the time.

I'm just glad we have 10 players. I'll check back periodically for the new draft time.

A suggestion or ok with the 3rd would have been nice :p

Sounds good to me :)

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
    • Everything they say you can already do yourself on the registry by changing some things.
    • Artist's renderings are so much nicer to view than the real thing, don't you think?
