funny, I run a few 7 systems, and have never seen that update listed before...of course, I've never ran the zune software either, so that's probably why. :whistle:

It's dependent on regional settings. You won't see it in a lot of countries.

I'm running v4.5 on my Zune HD... the latest firmware release :/

The version of the client is different than that of the firmware on the zuneHD

Hostile much? What's wrong with giving people the option to download free software for their computer? It isn't checked by default so you won't install it automatically. There really should be the option to install Essentials whenever you first get a computer. Most novice computer users can get some great use out of the software and wouldn't know it exists otherwise. It's the MS version of iLife for mac.

Talking about the desktop software here Andrew :) My Zune 80 is on 3.30, whatever that means.

I don't think any of the older Zunes get the 4.x firmware updates? I could be wrong though, but maybe because they don't have the higher spec the ZuneHD does.
