In the USA you have to tip the drivers. They are just like waiters in restaurants: they are bringing you your food and they don't get paid very well so they actually depend on getting tipped.

You don't HAVE too but its better to do for normal service.

Now I tipped once on the site to one pizza place where you can punch it before submitting the full payment so its all ready done and I had a driver say something to my face as he was leaving about how it would be cool if he got a tip. I found that very rude and insulting at the same time to even ask me as he didn't bother looking at the paper but even still it is not his place to confront a customer. I complained to the headquarters and shortly there after got a call from the manager but I didn't hear anything else of it and I don't believe he worked their very long.

This is very rude. I try to give a few dollars for a pizza plus what ever change there is. If the pizza is late I do not punish the driver..I call the manager and either get a free pizza or make him give me some side items free.

Also I noticed Pizza hut and Papa John's in the area will add a $2 delivery fee. I think this is for gas and a great idea for Dbags that dont tip.

The driver actually does not get this $2 just a FYI ;)

REALLY this I did not know. That is balls. that sucks.

I worked for a family owned pizza place and the owner gave us $2 per delivery (not included in price to customer) because the area we live and frequently deliver to never tip. One of my co-workers used to work for Papa John's and I asked him about the $2 charge and he said they never gave them to the drivers... Guess it's more of a convince charge, the drivers pay for all of their own gas and upkeep of the car so I like that my boss gave us $2 per delivery and we also got paid $7/hour at the time.
