NirLauncher is a free launcher from NirSoft that allows you to start portable applications from a USB drive. The launcher program already comes with more than 100 useful tools for Windows admins. With a few mouse clicks, you can add the Sysinternals Suite tools or your own portable applications. If you're a power user or sysadmin who likes to dig into the techie details of your Windows system, you'll likely love the many free tools gathered into NirLauncher.

Tweaking the Launcher

You can edit the included NirSoft.nlp file in a text editor to add or remove the utilities that you prefer?or you can even create a new .NLP file with your own customized settings. Just make sure to use relative paths to the executable files to make sure that they will be portable when you put it onto your flash drive.

Integration with Sysinternals

Windows Sysinternals is a part of the Microsoft Technet web site which offers technical resources and utilities to manage, diagnose, troubleshoot and monitor a Microsoft Windows environment. But rather than using them individually, you can merge the suite into Nirlauncher.

1. Download SysInternals Suite from Sysinternals Suite Web page, and extract all files into a new subfolder under the main folder of NirLauncher.

2. Right click on the sysinternals2.nlp link, choose 'Save Link As' or 'Save Target As', and put it in the same folder that you extracted the SysInternals files.

3. Drag sysinternals2.nlp into the window of NirLauncher or use the 'Add Software Package' in the Launcher menu.

4. If you do it right, the SysInternals should be loaded into NirLauncher. You can switch between the NirSoft package and SysInternals package by using F3/F4 keys.

* NirLauncher can be used from USB flash drive without need of any installation.

* NirLauncher and all the utilities in the package are completely freeware, without any Spyware/Adware/Malware.

* When using it from USB flash drive, the configuration of every utility is saved into .cfg file on the flash drive.

* On x64 systems, NirLauncher automatically run the x64 version of the utility, when there is a separated x64 version.

* NirLauncher also allows to add more software packages in additional to the main NirSoft package.

Notes:

There is a very high chance that your antivirus will falsely detect one or more of these utilities as virus, trojans, spyware, malware or anything else. If you need more information about these false positives, read the developer's blog post about it.

Nope, it's not like Ninite, is very different. Ninite is an automatic software installer.

NirLauncher is a GUI launcher for all the applications from NirSoft plus others like Sysinternals, you can put it on a USB key and use it to troubleshoot specific computer problems.

Very nice, always wanted something that puts these small utilities from Nirsoft/Sysinternals together in one collection in the form of a launcher. I used something similar a few months ago from a third party which I can't remember the name of, but it was very slow to work with.
