Rapier
Want to buy a budget compact and can't decide between these two. Instincts tell me to go with the canon but people have told me otherwise. I'm not really concerned about the video quality and i'd like to take close ups at times so canon would seem like the better choice. Still i'd like some advice on which is the better camera for normal shooting.
Argote
Out of those two I think I'd go with the Canon. Canon Point and Shoots are very good.
Rapier
Yes but i read about the images being a bit too soft and something about purple fringing. Would the nikon be a better option?
Rapier
I went to a shop to try it out and asked the guy to take some pics of cameras on the shelf. What i could see while he was taking pictures was that the nikon was detecting the lights and didn't let them spread in the picture while on the other hand the light bulb in the picture taken by the canon was the same as any cellphone camera. I'm aware that he could have the nikon set in some specific mode but as i'm not sure can someone shed some light on the topic.
