[Fantasy] Neowin Soccer Manager - Season 5

Recommended Posts

Just to let everyone know, as a player of SoccerManager for almost three years my interest in the game has now waned. I've not logged in for a long, long time and I'm not planning on renewing my Gold Membership which allows me to administrate the league.

My membership expires sometime in April, and I believe at this point the Game World will simply be made 'public'.

If it stays public, will it use some sort of "default" settings?

It could have been better, if more Neowin members had joined.

Also, does the new league administrator get to change its name? It'd be kind of cool if the name could live on. :p

hmm, if it is goes public, ill probably quit as well. I already have 2 public teams and this game does take sometime(transfers). I guess it is still fun for me because i just started.

Don't you quit, Munich! If anything, quit one of the other teams you currently manage...

Once it's made public, Tweet Tweet will get better as more people join the league.

The new admin would be able to edit the Game World description, however the name 'Tweet Tweet' would stay the same... and live on ;)

It could have been a fantastic league, although I honestly did enjoy it anyway and it was a good league. I've been playing Soccer Manager for nearly 3 years now and I've just lost interest, but it's been a fun few years :)

    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
    • Windows 95 offered the ability to add and edit the right click menus, on a per file type basis. This feature seems to be missing in the new file explorer. Are they bringing it back as a "new" feature?
    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
