x-byte
Hopefully this is more stable than last build. Had a lot of issues when closing tabs. Looks to soon be ready for a beta. Lucas
Nice, it's going smaller in size. That's a nice plus. I'm a Chrome user but will give this alpha a little try on my Mac. cork1958
I keep trying Opera in Windows, but for some reason just can't make myself like it enough to keep it. Now, in Linux, it rocks!! Will be glad as heck when this goes final and has extensions. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/952550-opera-1100-build-1060-alpha/#findComment-593367000 Share on other sites
Pink Floyd Veteran Posted November 11, 2010 Veteran Share Posted November 11, 2010 Damn I loved opera years back when I was on pc, but now with 1Password on OSX, I need someone to make an addon for opera! and the GUI is so sexy on OSX Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/952550-opera-1100-build-1060-alpha/#findComment-593367402 Share on other sites

Maybe before the end of the year? It hasn't crashed yet for a whole day today, which is an improvement from the last build. And at this rate, I bet they'd release final before end of the year  Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/952550-opera-1100-build-1060-alpha/#findComment-593370506 Share on other sites
x-byte
Yea, this build haven't crashed yet for me either, so all is good. I doubt the final build will be released this year. As far as I can remember only 10.5 had a short development time because of the bailout screen. Usually there is about 2 months between the alpha and beta releases. MR_Candyman
Thanks for the update. The last build seemed to crash a lot at first and then miraculously stopped. I haven't had a crash on it in over a week. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/952550-opera-1100-build-1060-alpha/#findComment-593370998 Share on other sites

Nagisan
Can't seem to get into my Gmail account with this build, the progress bar freezes right before finishing and stays there indefinitely. Basic HTML mode works fine, so its something with their AJAX that is causing issues with the latest build of Opera 11. Nagisan
No problem here. What OS? I use Win7x64. I have the same problem he had on Windows 7 64-bit. I also have a few extensions installed, maybe those are the problem? Disabling them 1 by 1 to test it... EDIT: Nope, all my extensions disabled and it still doesn't work. Samurizer
Looks like it isn't just me then. I've tried deleting my entire browser profile and starting fresh, but that didn't work either. Just tried Hotmail, but even it doesn't work properly in Opera either. Hope this issue gets fixed quickly, I'll probably be needing a new browser real soon since I don't like the way the Firefox 4 betas are going at all, but if it's a choice between a slow crappy browser and a fast shiny one but no email, I'll have to pick the former. inferniac
Gmail wasn't working for me on the beggining of this week for ~2 days and then it fixed itself. Denis W. Veteran Posted November 13, 2010 Veteran Share Posted November 13, 2010 I see the same Gmail problem. There's an interim fix in the meantime. A UserJS script is posted here. Make sure UserJS is enabled, then drop that script into your UserJS folder and try reloading Gmail again. A browser.js fix should follow shortly. Mike
The GMail issue is a known bug supposedly in most 10.7 & 11 builds which has only just been exposed. There is a UserJS somewhere on the Opera forums that'll work around the bug tho Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/952550-opera-1100-build-1060-alpha/#findComment-593376354 Share on other sites

Samurizer
Gmail doesn't load for me either (AJAX version). But hotmail, for the most part, works like it should. What problems are you experiencing with Hotmail? Some minor alignment/display problems, the big problem is that I can't see my events in Windows Live Calender. While we're at it, Google Instant and Office Web Apps appear to be broken as well. Sigh. There's an interim fix in the meantime. A UserJS script is posted here. Make sure UserJS is enabled, then drop that script into your UserJS folder and try reloading Gmail again. A browser.js fix should follow shortly. Thanks, but that didn't work for me. I can wait if a fix is coming soon though, Firefox 3.6 is still more or less my main browser for now.
