I keep trying Opera in Windows, but for some reason just can't make myself like it enough to keep it.

Now, in Linux, it rocks!!

Will be glad as heck when this goes final and has extensions. :)

Opera 11 is completely stable for me so far on x64 Winn 7 and x64 XP.

It hasn't crashed yet for a whole day today, which is an improvement from the last build.

And at this rate, I bet they'd release final before end of the year :laugh:

Yea, this build haven't crashed yet for me either, so all is good. I doubt the final build will be released this year. As far as I can remember only 10.5 had a short development time because of the bailout screen. Usually there is about 2 months between the alpha and beta releases.

Thanks for the update. The last build seemed to crash a lot at first and then miraculously stopped. I haven't had a crash on it in over a week.

Doubt it, since the alpha isn't feature complete. I am expecting HW Acceleration by the time it hits RC stage.

Basic HTML mode works fine, so its something with their AJAX that is causing issues with the latest build of Opera 11.

I have the same problem he had on Windows 7 64-bit. I also have a few extensions installed, maybe those are the problem? Disabling them 1 by 1 to test it...

EDIT: Nope, all my extensions disabled and it still doesn't work.

Looks like it isn't just me then. I've tried deleting my entire browser profile and starting fresh, but that didn't work either.

Just tried Hotmail, but even it doesn't work properly in Opera either. Hope this issue gets fixed quickly, I'll probably be needing a new browser real soon since I don't like the way the Firefox 4 betas are going at all, but if it's a choice between a slow crappy browser and a fast shiny one but no email, I'll have to pick the former.

Gmail wasn't working for me on the beggining of this week for ~2 days and then it fixed itself. I'm not using 11 alpha, I'm on 10.63

There's an interim fix in the meantime. A UserJS script is posted here. Make sure UserJS is enabled, then drop that script into your UserJS folder and try reloading Gmail again. A browser.js fix should follow shortly.

The GMail issue is a known bug supposedly in most 10.7 & 11 builds which has only just been exposed. There is a UserJS somewhere on the Opera forums that'll work around the bug tho

Some minor alignment/display problems, the big problem is that I can't see my events in Windows Live Calender.

While we're at it, Google Instant and Office Web Apps appear to be broken as well. Sigh.

Thanks, but that didn't work for me.

I can wait if a fix is coming soon though, Firefox 3.6 is still more or less my main browser for now.
