Steven P. Administrators Posted November 17, 2010 Administrators Share Posted November 17, 2010 Due to popular request, I have added the 3 major mobile device discussions areas in the sub forum of Network, Tablet and Mobile Devices forum. They are: Android, iPhone & Windows Phone. Stuff like Blackberry and others can still be discussed in the root forum, until the level of discussion warrants its own forum. Enjoy! I will start moving some topics in there from the parent forum.

Chasethebase Reporter Posted November 17, 2010 Reporter Share Posted November 17, 2010 Would it be worth calling the iPhone subforum "iOS" to cover iPad discussion as well?
Damian
Great! Would it be worth calling the iPhone subforum "iOS" to cover iPad discussion as well? Was just about to suggest that.

NienorGT
Good move. But for the sake of being unified, I would call the iPhone subforum "iOS" just as they said, to includes the iPod Touch and iPad in. Otherwise, iOS threads would be scattered all over the place in iPhone subforum, PMP subforum (iPod Touch) and Netbook, Tablet & Mobile Devices root forum (iPad). Same would go for Android Tablets and PMPs.

Hell-In-A-Handbasket
I agree with the iOS part, especially since iPhone isnt the name of the OS, its the device, like android isnt called Samsung Evo

amon91
Definitely rename it to iOS. And as I pointed out, I support the change. Hopefully it'll bring in more activity.

Fred Derf Veteran Posted November 19, 2010 Veteran Share Posted November 19, 2010 I believe it was Neobond's intention that we discuss the iOS in the iPhone subfolder so I have gone ahead and renamed the forum to include both. p.s. If it gets renamed back and I no longer have a badge then you know why. :D Edit: I updated the Is your apple thread in the right place? thread.
