They didnt. That is when the early access period commences, it says you will be emailed on the day you gain access.

If you ordered in July though id say its a pretty safe bet youll be getting in at the very start.

na i preordered begining of last month, its all good, smackin crap in skyrim in the meantime, then watching the stupid thing crash in revenge

Tbh, that is ridiculously unfair to SWTOR. It's hugely more detailed than KOTOR ever was - the similarity is in the general look and feel. Which, really, just says something for how well KOTOR defined itself.

(Yes, I played beta, and KOTOR)

Yeah sorry, I wasn't very clear in what I meant. It is a big step forward but the styling is the same and not being taken to the extremes of making the game try to be life like or Crysis

Sorry about not being clear there

I just found a new X3 expansion is released on the 15th!! YEAH!! So since I only pre-ordered the game at the beginning of this month after playing the weekend before and being converted to wanting to play the game I don't expect to get in early but X3 will keep me busy! :D

If you pre-ordered anywhere, you should have gotten a code to input online which tells them that you pre-ordered it. If you never got this code or never entered it, then you won't get early access since you won't be on the list of pre-orders.

no the Pre-Order codes were only from the Retailers on the SWTOR site, for example, Target/Walmart/Origin/Amazon/Ect, but not NewEgg, or any other retailer.

BS if the retailer says the pre order includes early play code, they do. I ordered from a Norwegian one computer parts company(newegg equivalent) and I got a pre order code from EA/SWTOR the next day(ordered late).

The retailer only need to inform EA/Bioware with your email and they'll send you a code. If you cancel, they inform Bioware, and your code is invalidated.

I'm just going by what was told to me, people saying they ordered from newegg and other stuff and they didn't get a code

Just preordered (I know very late!), But does that mean my early access starts later? If so I think that's kind of stupid how it is first come first served. I still paid the same amount as everybody else...

LOL really? But you waited until 4 days before it was released? Did you play the beta at all? We are getting rewarded for supporting the company even though we had no idea how good the game would be.. How is that unfair?

I played the betas, I've supported the company just as much as you have by paying the same amount of money? I waited 4 days for precisely that reason. I preordered, in the preoreder it says "Early game access".

As that is part of the preorder deal I should get the same early access regardless of when I preordered. Just because I didn't blindly jump into the purchase it doesn't mean I should suffer.

Also says Up To * Days. You'll get in.

On the bright side, you get to play, my box won't be shipped till the 23rd, and delivered till the 29th. So I won't be able to play till next year

That argument has holes.

If you and I both show up at Best Buy 4 hours early, one of us is still going to be last in line.

They're letting people into the game by groups, which means they had to choose some way

of selecting an order process. They went with Pre-order timing. I fail to see the problem.

I guess, Its probably just me being unhappy that I ordered it so late ;D

Gotta get me some star wars

Exactly this!

I was in the beta's, but didn't order until a couple of weeks ago for assorted reasons. I got my pre-order code on Friday but I'm not really bothered that I won't get in until almost release day. That's the way things work! They've sold WAY more copies than they thought they would and they just have to stagger launch or people will get massive login queues.

The only thing that IS slightly annoying is the pre-order code system is a bit borked... Didn't take my code, and now says its used to I'm waiting on second line support to fix it. Ho hum! It's no biggy, really. Technically I shouldn't be playing until the 25th anyway. ;)

I was reading somewhere, sorry, can't remember right now exactly where, that some people were sent a e-mail for early access to start on 12/13/2011. Any truth to this? I imagine if so, it's probably for the beta testers.

No it's legit, they bumped it up another 2 days

Well, my Clan got put on The Ebon Hawk server.

I wish I knew what kind of server it was, though: PvP, PVE, RP, etc. Grr...

If you login to swtor with your account credentials, then go to www.swtor.com/guilds and click on your server name, it will show you the server type. :)

    • Maybe it's just my old-school soul talking, but I’ve always felt that games aren't 'real' games until they hit the PC. Leaving the PC community out at launch just doesn't sit right with me. That being said, I'm probably going to buy the PS5 just for the fun of trying it out.

    • Rockstar confirms Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders begin next week, unveils cover art by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The release date of Grand Theft Auto VI has moved quite a lot since its original announcement in 2023, but it finally looks like the game has found its final launch slot. Rockstar today had a new video upload on its YouTube channel, and while it wasn't a new trailer for the game, the company revealed two things. This was the pre-order kickoff date for Grand Theft Auto VI as well as the game's official cover art. The company revealed that June 25 is when fans of the series will be able to pre-order their copy of Grand Theft Auto VI. Pre-orders will be available both digitally and in retail stores. The newly unveiled cover art shows off the two new protagonists, as well as a few more characters that are probably vital to the campaign storyline. Shots of vehicles players can use like a light helicopter, motorcycle, sports car, and speed boat are also seen here, alongside a shot of a crocodile. "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them," says Rockstar describing the campaign's protagonist duo. "But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive." Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 19, 2026. A PC version has not been confirmed yet, though it's expected by many to land after the console release. When asked about this, the Take-Two CEO says it considers the core audience for the Grand Theft Auto franchise to be on consoles.
