After watching the last post on the previous page... how the F did Maldonado get away with only a 5 place grid drop, and more importantly, how the bleeding buggery did Hamilton get a reprimand for that!? Well I guess it'll teach him not to get run into by other drivers when he has nothing to do with it...

Maybe it's because he's black.

i'd put this race as MS's 2nd best race.

#1- Canada

What a race for him from last to 5th.

When race started i was shocked to see a MGP in P1, thouhgt that they finally made some improvements :D

DRS should be banned, it just gives too much advantage to the fast cars, while it should be helping the slightly slower ones, or atleast let the DRS'd driver to use his, once overtaken (in same zone)

I thought Ferrari & McL would be the P1 contenders, but one (McL) faded during the 1st part & the other (ferrari) during last part.

really poor drive from Massa.

Hamilton the crash magnet :p

really poor drive from Massa.

you did realize he had to stop once more than his teammate? without that he would have finished p5 just behind him.

and given the fact that he is not allowed to finish in front of his teammate in a normal race, that would have been the best he could achieve. ;)

really was happy for schumacher and button today. they both deserved their results. wonder tho how much kobayashis braking points moved backwards since he has got a broken front wing and that may have caused the collision with hamilton.

anyway, vettel has it in the bag. redbull said in the interview that after the first pitstops they knew they will walk it and just made ennough pace to keep the opponents in control.

Definitely great drives by both Button and Schumacher. It was a pretty fun race to watch.

Schumacher and Button both were the men of the race today. The old man showed once more that his racecraft is still as good as ever.

Reject of the race: Bruno Senna for his rookie mistake in the first corner.

Hamilton's accident was rather weird. It looked like his rear wing was still open when Kobayashi hit him - what was up with that?

Overall race rating: 9.5/10.

Speaking of which, Lewis has admitted it was 100% his fault over on his Twitter.

After watching the replay, I realize it was my fault today 100%. I didn't give Kobayashi enough room though I thought in was past.

Apologies to Kamui and to my team. The team deserves better from me. Best wishes, Lewis

And yeah, reluctantly, I agree that Senna was the reject of the race with that first-corner mistake. Shows he's still race-rusty. But he's still got at least the next two GPs in that seat, so let's see if he proves himself at Monza in two weeks time. :)

I'm really bummed that I missed Spa GP this year, usually one of the better GP's throughout the year.

Ah well, this is what you get for being in a stupid car, moving from one location from another. Wasnt even aired on the radio because of the stupid Athletic **** and all that.

But from what i've seen from highlights more or less makes me agree with Meph on this.

Too bad about Bruno though, yes, he is a rookie still. But he did very nice in the qualifying, going to be interesting to see how good he can get over a few GP's, once he gets over the change from HRT to Renault properly, and actually driving in the field instead of driving faaaaar behind it. Just being lapped and lapped.

for all the massa fans and f1 fans in general, soon available my first f1 video, lots of video clips cut and mixed with sound ofc. its a 4 part series hope you ll enjoy it . not there yet, but i do some advertising, and as you read: coming soon

Ferrari: Only two leaders in F1

F1 LEADER: According to Ferrari team boss Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher are team leaders, while Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel still has lots to learn.

Two drivers on the Formula 1 grid stand out above the rest, according to Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali.

Domenicali was asked by the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag if reigning World champion and runaway 2011 title leader Sebastian Vettel could claim the mantle of a true team "leader".

Domenicali said, "Really, there are only two, and they are Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher. I see no others. Vettel is still not a leader. He is on the way but it's not like Michael and Fernando. He is simply too young and lacking in experience."

Domenicali saw "many parallels" between Schumacher, winner of five of Ferrari's six most recent Drivers' titles, and the famous Maranello squad's current undisputed team leader Alonso.

"Each is fighting to bring their team to the front. They take care of the details that others don't even notice. Sebastian is getting close, but right now there are only two (leaders)," he said.

VETTEL SWITCH?

Vettel, driving for Red Bull, has expressed a desire to switch to Ferrari. Domenicali commented, "It's too early to tell. It depends on many developments to occur in the next few years. Currently we do not need a leader. At some point we may and so then Sebastian is a candidate. As I said, there are not many."

Domenicali rejected criticism often directed at Schumacher, who is struggling to keep up with his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg: "You will not hear anything bad from me. He is driving on a very high level; it is the Mercedes that is not good enough. If Michael was in a Red Bull or a Ferrari, then he probably would have won races in the last two years."

The Ferrari team boss commented on Red Bull's domination of Formula 1 and the lessons that Ferrari might learn from that.

"They have a title and we have 16, so if Red Bull does half of what we have done then maybe we will have a rethink. The question is: Who has the better foundation. I don't know if what has happened at Red Bull was because of one or two good people. For us, we are building a new Ferrari. And then we will start a great period," he said.

BBC still evaluating plans for highlights of races Sky will show live in 2012

The BBC is still evaluating its plans for highlights coverage of the Formula 1 races that it does not broadcast live next year - with sources suggesting that full re-runs of grands prix have not been totally ruled out yet.

Although Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone suggested to The Independent that the BBC will be limited to highlights of just "75 minutes of every race", which appeared to dash hopes of full re-runs online or on its red button interactive service, high level sources at the television company have revealed that a final plan has yet to be agreed.

As part of the deal put in place with Ecclestone for 2012, the BBC will show half of the races live - with coverage of those that are broadcast only on Sky being shown later in the day.

As well as a dedicated highlights package on one of the main BBC channels, plans are still being looked at for full length re-runs of the grands prix being made available for some or all the races on either the BBC's online platforms or its Red Button interactive channel.

It is not clear, however, when these full race re-runs could be broadcast ? because if they were too soon after the F1 event itself then it could lessen the attraction of viewers purchasing a Sky subscription.

The BBC will not comment on the plans until a final decision has been made.

MS did fastest 1st sector on his Q3 run, but Hamtard ruined it b making mistake at chicane

I think Rosberg made a mistake with his strategy, now FI's are gonna take him in few laps 'if' they opt for soft tyres.

Anyways, RBR are just too strong to beat, i mean Vettle's RBR :p

I was gonna say Senna made a wise move to not set a lap in Q3 so he'd start with fresh tyres, but you've gotta start on the tyres that you set your fastest lap with, so no. :p

Vettel drove a blinder on the final lap. He shaved off an extra 3/10ths of a second and lapped almost half a second faster than Hamilton. That's his 25th career pole position, and he's also the first man to take 10 pole positions in two different seasons since Ayrton Senna.
