Thanks for sharing. (Y)

So my card is listed as Recommended System Requirements, and I have two of them in SLi, so hopefully they will be able to pull of good performance with high settings.

If not, time for a new card.

I have to look into doing some upgrades to my system later this year it seems. I need a bigger PSU so I can get a higherend gfx card this time around. I'll see how long my 5770 can hold on, maybe by then AMD will have some Radeon 7000s coming. :p

I wouldn't worry if you got a quad core cpu or better.

It doesn't look like it. In the gameplay videos you can clearly see the gun being obstructed except for the dead center of the sight and the bullets were still hitting their target in the classic random deviation cone pattern (ignoring the movement of the gun's recoil animations). They might have done other things with the bullets themselves but it seems quite clear that the method of simulating recoil and where the bullet spawning hasn't changed at all.

There's no other way though really, either you disable shooting from the hip, or disable crosshairs (A mix of crosshairs and bullets leaving the gun barrel results in them heading from the bottom of the screen to the top, passing through the cross hair)

Maybe I missed it but the open beta will be in September and official release date is October 25.

Good thing they were giving beta access for pre ordering MoH. ;)

ha, pussed out! EA once again all talk.

well if i do decide to get the game looks like i'll be good to go to play it maxed out!

Details on the 4 classes:

[...]

Assault/Medic

The Assault and Medic a classes have been combined now, where the Assault class can either chose to heal/revive teammates, or you can opt for a grenade launcher instead of the revive kit, if you want more firepower.

Support

The Support class is now the one handing out ammunition, and can also provide covering fire. You can mount your LMG and if fire in the direction of the enemy, you?ll get special bonus points for providing covering fire for your teammates. You can also select an assault rifle with a flashlight for the dark parts of maps (like tunnels), instead of the LMG.

Engineer

The Engineer retains much of his role and load-out from Bad Company 2, you?re equipped with rocket launchers against enemy armor, and a repair tool to fix friendly vehicles, and a sub machine gun.

Sniper

The Sniper has the same role as in previous Battlefield games, and is armed with a sniper rifle, C4 explosives, and spotting gear.

And MP impressions: http://bf3blog.com/2011/06/battlefield-3-multiplayer-e3-impressions/

Never been interested in playing as Sniper. Support sounds boring as hell. Assault/Medic sounds like it is going to be my default class. With Engineer being my second favour. Reckon there will be C4 option? I loved C4 everything in BC2.
that almost makes it worth buying.
We get it, you like CoD.

Looks good. I'll probably be playing Assault and Recon the most. Those were the classes I favored in BC2.

Here's some off-screen MP footage:

Thank goodness for Assault/Medic. I know what class I'll be playing now.

Me too. I'm glad Medics have an assault rifle now instead of a LMG.

Recon is fun if you're good at picking off people from a distance. The Support class may seem boring but it's actually pretty important because it's the only class that can drop ammo. As always though, the Assault class will be the most played. As for C4, that's reserved for the Recon (Sniper) class.

Same here. I got about 2,500 kills with Assault and 1,500 kills with Recon in BC2.

    • Recycle Bin has been broken for literal YEARS now. The setting to delete files older than 30 days from the bin which is on by default doesn't even work. I have files older than 4 months in it and they are just there still...

    • Isn’t it so sweet Microsoft after so many years of neglect, they admit to these issues in Windows lately? Doesn’t this just make you wanna run out and meet them halfway to give them a warm hug only? Just gives us this warm fuzzy feeling thinking about it. /s
