Can someone give me a guide about the multiplayer?

I mean the Game modes and stuff like this.

And about the Caspian Border thing:

Do everyone start in a random vehicle or you get it by killstreaks or they are on the map and you man them?

Traditionally in battlefield the vehicles are waiting at spawn for people to get into (and in conquest their will often be vehicles at the various capture points).

Also, in Rush they spawn in each new base (basically spawn) you've captured. You might want to read this blog page: Battlefield 3 multiplayer. Their blog has all the info you'd like to get about BF3 :)

If I remember correctly, the caspian border gameplay video showed conquest mode. Basically, there are two teams that spawn on opposite sides of the map. Also, there are various spawnpoints that must be captured in order to win the game. The points, which are clearly indicated on the map, are captured by standing beside it. The more soldiers around the point, the faster it's captured. Once it's captured, you can spawn on that point to reinforce your teammates faster (rather than spawning at your home base). There's also a set number of tickets that each team has which goes down with deaths and something called ticket bleeding. When one team has the majority of the points, the opposing team will start losing tickets on top of losing it by deaths. There's also a time limit so whichever team has more tickets wins and whichever team has 0 tickets loses.

Wow I really hope my laptop is beyond repair and staples has to give a more current one that replaced my model(as when I bought it new was already a year old). The HD, motherboard and cooling system was all out and while I could get my on low settings this game looks to pretty for that. That SP trailer looked amazing. I was just gonna dive into MP but damn I might have to beat campaign first.

Also does a origin pre-order charge the full price up front or just $5?

I took an extra shift at work JUST to get this game haha.

Anyone know where to get it cheap in Canada or should I just get it through Origin?

origin is your best bet in canada, just for the pre-order extras , like early beta access and the dlc.

I am in Canada as well and I pre-ordered this game from Origin especially since you get the Limited Edition of the game which includes DLC; You also get Battlefield Play4Free items and early beta (48 hour) access; all of these at no extra cost.

My gawd, that trailer looks awesome :D Not sure if is I should get the 360 version or not since we don't have any videos showing off the 360 gameplay :/ I do know that my PC probably would not be able to handle it, at least in almost max settings. I'll probably wait to see some 360 gameplay first before picking this up later.

I think that latest video has sealed the deal for me. All I want my collective love ones to do is all pitch in towards a GTX 580 for XMas.That and a nice pair of sweatpants, because I do not plan on going out much this winter.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
