Got my key and got the game. Runs surprisingly well but I will most probably have to bump some settings to medium. Anyone else have trouble changing mouse keybinds? By using my standard procedure of just clicking the box to add my mouse side buttons the game doesn't really register it. I was only able to change the default keyboard keys. :/

Not sure if you have tried this yet, but in the past when I have had games that had issues registering the key bindings, running them, or the app they are running through such as Origin, as administrator, usually took care of the keys not sticking or being recongnized.

that does work for some games. i remember i had to do that to BC2 for it to remember my settings when the game was first released...

Happy playing everyone! :D Does anybody know of a key giveaway or something? I know the open beta is in 48 hours but asking can't hurt^^ I preordered at a local retailer so I only get the DLCs for free and sadly no early access key :pinch:

Might try this but I feel it's a problem with the game itself. A lot of people are reporting that they can't bind mouse buttons in the Battlelog beta forums.

Well it could just be that a whole lot of people have not figured out to run the game, and every game for that matter, in administrator mode. But hey if you do not want to take the 10 seconds that it takes to try it out (if that), fine by me.

No idea why everyone's getting mad at DICE when it seems they're using their local time. Also, why get mad? They're giving you a chance to play the game for free. Stop being so greedy :s

I'm going to skip the beta and wait till the official game... I don't want to ruin what may or may not be a good game on full final release. I already know the controls and how the game will run if it follows true to the original Battlefield. The only thing that is killing it for me right now is having to run Origin to get online with the game.. total BS if you ask me.

I have to say, I'm not that impressed with this beta. Namely, it feels like an actual beta - it's pretty buggy. There is a bug where you can't scope in, people seem to materialize out of thin air (both enemies and friendlies), broken key remapping, frequent CTD, when you spawn sometimes you are greeted with a black screen etc. And I hate how when you throw a med/ammo pack, it stays for a few seconds in your hands and does not immediately switch to a weapon. Very annoying.

I'm not a huge fan of the weapon damage; the moment you're out of cover you die. I especially love how sometimes I die practically from a single assault rifle bullet, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was just due to lag. Nice graphics and sound though.

If it was free fair enough but some people like me bought MOH:LE just for beta access and a full day of ealy access has been wasted waiting for them to release the keys.

pretty sure you had to pre-order MOH to get early access...

A card came with my copy of MOH:LE and it says something like congrats, when the BF3 goes beta, you'll get access. I'm at work so can't check exactly what it says.

Well been playing for a while and gotta say visually/audibly it's nice but it's game play and the map(s) is rather disappointing. This whole alt + enter to get full screen is rubbish and they need to get rid of that. So much rather disappointed in or frustrated about can't really list them all atm

I know it's beta and all that but this is really alpha quality is all...

Manged to get about 20mins of playtime in before I had to leave for work, enjoying what little I've played so far. Sound effects in the game are amazing and the graphics are definitely what I was hoping for and it's run fairly smoothly on my system so far with a mix of High/Ultra settings at 1920x1080. Have yet to encounter any major issues so far, but really haven't had too much time to play. Figures it comes out this week though as I'm going to be gone the next 6 days so won't get a chance to really get into it for a while here.

Played a bit today and oh boy... what a letdown. Yes i do know this is beta but still.

If you want to take on CoD you have to make a better looking clone. And that's what they did.

Looks broken in every way.

Very disappointed as a BF fan.

The idea behind this is that you tell it to join a server, the games starts and loads it in the background (which is why it isn't in focus right away), then it'll take focus and go full screen once the game is loaded and you're in the server. It's a little weird when you don't know what it's doing, but this way you can still use the site while the game is preparing itself.

I can't say I've managed to play the beta quite yet, but that's how it worked in the alpha.

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. New features GH1196 Dark display mode support: Password Safe now supports the system display mode, as well as setting the mode directly via Manage->Options->Display->Display Mode. This change also updates the general "look & feel" of the app to the current Windows theme. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
