Played a bit today and oh boy... what a letdown. Yes i do know this is beta but still.

If you want to take on CoD you have to make a better looking clone. And that's what they did.

Looks broken in every way.

Very disappointed as a BF fan.

Could be a little more descriptive, ie what exactly is wrong rather than saying its broken in every way,

first of all this is definitely no cod clone. Second of all the game mode in the beta is RUSH on an infantry focused map. we've already seen from videos their will be large, vehicle heavy conquest maps in the game too. You are judging it far too harshly. its the rush gamemode that originated with bad company, so of course this map feels more BC2 than BF2.

You are right, operation metro isn't a great map, but maps like Caspian border look like they will be great fun.

The beta doesn't have jets, helis, tanks ect... There is a LOT of stuff in the final game we haven't even seen yet.

I am real curious what game people are playing and/or if they have truly changed that much since the Alpha, as I played the Alpha when it was released about a month ago and am not sure where any of these comments are coming from based on my time with it, and I would imagine they have only refined things since that. Maybe they somehow changed the entire way the game played in a few weeks. I guess I will get to see for myself when I get home from work in about 90 minutes.

If it was free fair enough but some people like me bought MOH:LE just for beta access and a full day of ealy access has been wasted waiting for them to release the keys.

Still, it's no reason to get mad about. You still get an extra day of play time till the 10th of October. Just chill out and be happy with what has been given to you. It's nothing to get mad about and cancel a pre-order. You could've expected it not to go as smoothly as everyone had hoped and I'm sure that their local time has a play in this.

I have a couple friends who are already playing it. Somehow.

What are you talking about? The early access has already started. I can be home right now playing it if i was not at work.

Damn, I admit I have not paid much attention, but is this Beta really just RUSH mode? If so, I may not even bother playing other than to check it out for performance. I loathe RUSH mode personally, literally only play Conquest.

Same here :(

Just an hour to go for me, if I even want to play it now. LOL

Yeah, its 32 player rush. No vehicles. I don't think its THAT bad and don't mind rush too much myself, but I do think EA chose a very poor map to use for the beta. It doesn't give people the right impression of the game.

or maybe what you are getting right now is the impression of the game they are trying to get out there? but it just sucks...

Played a couple of games. Feels a little like BC2. Movement is different from BC2 just not that much different. Seems well polished. Still having problems with invisible walls (like I did in the Alpha). Body models need fixing (try killing someone with a shotgun and see what happens). Talking about shotguns, got my first 8 kill streak. Gotta love the proning idiots (Y)

I've seen enough proof in videos, like the caspian border gameplay. This map is clearly nothing close to everything that this game has to offer.

Unless they removed it since the alpha, the attackers get an APC on the first stage. That's it, though.

Rumors are going around saying that with the launch of the open beta Caspian Border in Conquest Mode will be made available!^^ Take that with a grain of salt though :pinch:

So I have one key to GIVEAWAY now first person to PM me gets it...I have to leave for work in 4mins.

PM sent!^^

Not entirely sure why it matters. there's barely more than a day left before it's open to everyone. Although I sure wouldn't turn down an early access give if it were given to me.

*trying to be patient*

And I did pre order, it's just my pre order was in place before this Origin thing came about so I couldn't really change it. lol

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
