Servers are down for maintenance as far as I can tell. Pretty sure it's to deal with the hacked servers. And I haven't actually heard of anyone getting banned for playing one, too. They're just saying in the future if you decide to be a wise guy and hack in some way you can potentially kiss your entire EA account good bye.

Edit: I was wrong they aren't down for maintenance but they are down, reason "unknown". But I'll bet a dollar it's to deal with hacked servers.

Correct, rank 16.

So reading through the Battlelog forums today I've seen so many posts about issues that are already fixed. It's so hard to keep an actual feedback post on the first page so it actually gets talked in the spam of posts about issues that have already been fixed in retail and threads about how bf3 is a clone of CoD.

And this is why would be so nice to actually be playing an up to date version of the beta.

I have a few questions or hopes in this game... Ok, so it's Beta. Does that mean that right now, there are options and effects turned off? I have noticed that a lot of the cars on metro.. basically all of them, you can not cause to explode. I'm on the PS3, but I hope this is something that they have disabled for the beta, and will be a feature enabled on the gold. It also seems like there is less destructible environments, so I hope as with the cars, it is something disabled at the moment.

The game is still good, but this is the thing with "betas". You can't tell or judge from this, exactly how anything is going to really turn out. They leave too much unexplained. I just hope there is more happening in the final version.

They've also left out sounds as far as I can tell. To me it seems they've done this to make the beta as compact as possible. Like when you throw down an ammo box on the PC version the support class tells his mates that he dropped an ammo-kit. The assault class doesn't say a thing when he drops a med-kit. I've also noticed that using the spotter on teammates doesn't trigger your character to ask a teammate for a med-kit/ammo-kit. I REALLY hope that the latter will be added into the final version. It's something I'm really missing since not everyone's dropping med-kits/ammo-kits as they should be doing and asking them to drop stuff doesn't work. Plus the chat box all messed up currently so they won't be able to read it either. The chat box is a nother thing I'm hoping DICE is getting feedback about. They should add the team colours and squad colours back in the way BC2 had those colours in the chat box.

So you want to launch Battlefield 3 how without Battlelog? Battlelog is a great addition to Battlefield and after having it used, I wouldn't want to launch the game any other way :)

It works sometimes.

Love how you promote your clan with

And then just sit in a bush for half the game.

Lol.. if you know me and played with me you would know that I am the one constantly dying defending objectives.. even in this video I died running towards the objective to defuse it when I didn't have to.

The first objective was already planted when I joined the game and 2 of my guys were running there so I tried to clear out the area in front of B point so they could defuse otherwise they would have been killed (unfortunately I was too late so the objective blew up and they got killed).

The rest was trying to suppress enemy guys trying to getting to the other objective because where I was standing is where most of them run through. This is why I had so many kills. I was trying to prevent them from getting to objective which is perfectly valid tactic.

You see, teamwork and strategy doesn't mean everyone has to run for objective. There are guys who are close to objective and those up front keep the enemy from suppressing them while they defuse.

I'm certainly not a sniper ass who sits in the back of the map and just camps which is what a lot of people do. Camping is when you sit in the back, not even close to your objective and keep waiting to get a kill here and there. I was up in the front fighting the incoming enemies. There's a huge difference.

Also, I was on the point in the metro when they planted helping defuse as well. So it was far from camping.

This was a fun game, 19 kills killstreak. Ended up with 18 PDW ribbons at the end of the game.

Geez, I can't get over how much better the PC beta looks than the console beta. On the consoles the textures are so muddy that it's hard to tell the enemy from a tree.

I hope people will soon figure out that it is far easier to rank up by actually playing as a team, following/issuing orders, resupplying, spotting, healing ect.... than just running around killing. Just saying.

This time a million, first day are or so i was just doing assault and not healing or rezzing anyone, then the second day i i decided to run around with paddles out and throw first aid left and right, muuuuuch quicker, dont get me started on support, its ridiculous, just follow around the assault guys and drop ammo and profit lol.

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
