And the UMP is fine leave it alone. They are other guns that are OP...

Seems like people are getting riled up because Boz just wanted to show a video where he does well and now everyone wants to not-so-subtly imply he stinks and they're better players
I didn't say he stinks, if I thought that I would have said that. But owning noobs and owning an experienced team is a lot harder. I got a 24 kill streak today against a noob team.

806569442.png

But I would have never have got that an experienced team.

The UMP-45 is severely overpowered. As someone mentioned in this thread, that gun is a death ray.

To be fair all the guns in this game seem quite deadly so far.

@the rest

And who cares how he played and who he played against guys? Really? We're all playing against noobs in one game or another. And technically speaking we're all noobs to the game because it's not even out yet. So yeah, I don't see any reason to argue about it or sling insults.

The UMP-45 is severely overpowered. As someone mentioned in this thread, that gun is a death ray.

Here's the thing though. I heard people complaining about other guns. I don't think they are overpowered. I think they are just much more powerful guns in this Battlefield as a whole and I love it.

I think that there are issues with damage model in general since it's beta and there are already established things like super high damage when you shoot someone running or bad hit box detection or drain of power with one bullet making you go from 0-100% damage immediately.

I heard people complaining about PP2000 first, then how shotguns are overpowered etc.. this means that all guns are overpowered :). I think it's how you play and knowing the advantages and disadvantages of certain weapons. UMP is definitely powerful but when you put silencer it loses a lot of it's damage over the distance and that's how it should be.

I'm sure some minor fine tuning is needed and these bugs I mentioned need to be fixed but the gun itself is totally ok.

I personally haven't noticed any hit registration problems on the pc, so far. I know my experiences don't represent the majority though, either.

a few times i know i have popped a guy and didn't die. though the hit registration can't get any worse then bc2... i love hearing the noise of bullets hitting a person but no damage being done :/

Well, I'm not saying there are no hit reg problems it's just they aren't as nearly as bad or apparent as they were in BC2, for me right now that is. But that's only if I play on servers that ping less than 75. I avoid any servers that ping over that.

The squad management system (or lack thereof) in bf3 is easily the thing I hate the most.

I consider it a huge step backward.

I pug the majority of my games and squad jumping is easily my most effective tactic in winning the majority of my matches.

Being able to jump into an open squad in order to better position myself for a capture/defend is huge in a game where everyone's running around like a chiken.

I got to say, battlelog is nice. But having to tab out of a game to do something that could and always been done in-game is a huge fail.

Setting up a squad prior to a game is good for a group of friends. But like I said, I pug for the most part.

I'm under the impression consoles can do this in-game? But PC players cannot? Ridiculous!

Pugging just got alot rougher for PC players.

so my favourite rapper is doing some cross promotion for the game...

would have figured him as a CoD guy...

Does he really have an LA tattoo on his face..? That is just too awesome.

And the thing I hate the most in this game is prone. It just encourages people to camp in bushes. Annoying. There was a reason it wasn't in BC2 but so many people bitched at DICE because it wasn't in the game so they caved.

he does, a couple of tear drops on his face too...

looks like we both share the same thing we hate most about the game... prone needs to DIE!!!!

Prone really needs to be in the game, it sucked in BC2 having to duck behind cover and still getting shot, it was more noticeable on the newer larger maps.

It was a pretty stupid idea to not have prone in the first place, being able to hit the ground should always be in a shooting game.

all it does is encourage little bitches to find a bush and prone into it...

Exactly. If you're attacking on rush and your game stalls at the first set of mcoms all you need to do is look in the nearest bush for your team mates to find out why you lost.

Why play the objective when you can prone in a bush and get a 5:1 kdr and still only have a 150spm.

and that was the thing i like about brink (but a lot of people shat on them for) is they didn't have a K/D ratio score... cause it's an objective based game where teamwork is key, K/D meters aren't needed... when i play conquest i usually have a K/D of .500ish but my points are usually up there with top three.

The squad management system (or lack thereof) in bf3 is easily the thing I hate the most.

200% agree. Everything else is perfect or will be perfect after a bit of polish that I'm sure they have already done since this beta is definitely behind the current build but Squad management is just absolutely awful.

In Battlefield 2 we could invite people directly into a squad, and manage those squads much better. it's a huge step back the way it is now.

I don't see what's the problem with prone? People need to use spotting more and that guy won't be able to camp for long. The problem is that people don't have a habit of spotting people even when they see them. They just pass by and don't care when in fact good spotting can win the game easily because your teammates can take out threats even if you can't get to them.

Prone is more than fine. Given enough time, a sniper's position is more than obvious and becomes routine in checking out known bushes/trees/locations used by them.

It becomes common knowledge. I think you guys are just making a big deal of it now cause you're still within the learning curve.

Soon you'll all know these maps like the back of your hands along with every possible sniper position like the back of your hands.

Again, all will soon be routine before exposing yourselves.

It was great in BF2 and will be fine here. The glare along with great sound effects found within BF3 will be more than enough to expose a hidden sniper.

Or any other class taking refuge behind any shrub.

I picked off mad snipers/hidden players proned in CB in the couple games I played.

Scan the bushes with Spot button. Speaking of which, I really dig the fact it gives us an audible feedback as to when Spotting is on cooldown. Nice touch.

On the prone issue I can't help but feel that those who a pro-prone use it a lot, and those who are anti-prone don't use it all or very little. The ONLY time I'm proning is when I spawn on a squad mate who is prone or when I'm coming under HEAVY fire. Other than that, I don't use it. But I get the feeling that a lot of people use it to get easy kills and to be "sneaky".

this game has squad management ;)
Really? Feel free to expand on that. How do I join my friend's squad? Oh right, you can't. We've tried EVERYTHING!

lol it was sarcasm... hence the ;), though i did forget the "?" . unless your comment was sarcasm as well, then well played...

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
