awww man... if this went through, I'd hope Steam would allow us to activate the game on their service if purchased on origin. :(

I'll have to think about changing my pre order from amazon to Steam if that happens. It's lame to hear the reason for it not being on Steam to begin with is paid for dlc though. I guess we'll be having paid for map packs in bf3 in the next 3 or 4 months?

The thing about Battlefield games and their expansions/dlc is that they've always added more than just maps. So if it's new maps, weapons, and vehicles then it would be okay. But I hate the idea of just paying for maps.

How many people even know the news section exists? I keep seeing threads on battlelog asking for things that have already been announced to be changed like rank progression.

Sorry can't remember the name, my in-game name is "noctambulent" if that helps, it happened today sometime around 5pm EST.

Went through your games, and didn't really find anything suspicious. The only game jumped on my radar, was this one: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/battlereport/show/767305/1/325960090/

libra_nick got pretty high number of kills, but that's pretty much it. Her/his accuracy is too low and I guess Lino_Germany's is at 100 because he killed someone and quit.

Doubt anyone really hacked.

I hope so. I dont give a crap if its in battlelog or ingame. I want to be able to choose my squad, and I want to be able to do it without havinf people on my friends list.

Really sucks getting stuck in a lame squad and always having to spawn all the way back.

In those cases I just quit the game and find a new server. Its sad when a crap squad ruins everything.

I was playing earlier and noticed a guy shoot an rpg up into a window on the last part of the map, I was disappointed to see that there was little to no destruction.....what happened? They hyped the destruction up a lot and then don't deliver, it's hardly a beta thing.

only certain parts are destructable. The destruction that is there is improved. In the city section the windows on the second floor rooms can be taken completely out and it looks pretty good.

BC2-esque destruction doesn't fit with bf3's map design. BC2 had to have a bunch of generic cookie-cutter buildings to achieve its destruction.

Regarding destruction they have toned it down in the beta. Destruction in BF3 is much more unique. It isn't like the same generic buildings over and over again.

Yeah I heard that Destruction 2.0 (3.0?) is hardly enabled due to all the glitching with the old build we have so lets see what the release brings^^

Unless I missed it. How do I select my spawn point on the map on the 360 version?

Does anyone know?

You just push up or down in the spawn menu to select your home base spawn point or to select one of your squad mates or a mobile spawn point. It's pretty much like BC2 - it just doesn't stand out as much, I guess.

That doesnt do anything for me. Up down doesn't do anything. Left or right only. How do I select the spawn menu? I can only change weapons.

It's the same screen where you choose your class and switch weapons. Left/Right changes class, LB/RB changes highlighted weapon, and Up/Down selects spawn point. You should be able to go up and down (the selection is in the upper-left area right under "ATTACKER DEPLOY POINTS" or "DEFENDER" depending on which side you're on) unless you're either not on a squad or your whole squad is dead.

Encountered my first hacker today. A player named rrockAA. He was using teleport hacks and c4ing the entire team.

as annoying as hacks are, watching them in action is funny sometimes... guys pops in outta nowhere like nightcrawler then suicide bombs a guy beside you would be kinda funny to see...

While this game is PunkBuster enabled, PB isn't actually enabled :\

Not really that funny, it's more funny that hackers are still allowed to run rampant. Hackers destoyed Crysis 2 MP for me :(

      WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
