For anyone with a 32bit Vista/7 and constant "BF3 has stopped working" errors in multiplayer caused by module: bf3.exe, do this:

1) Open a CMD

2) Enter: bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500

3) Reboot!

This tweak should be completely harmless it just increases the virtual address space to 2.5GB as opposed to 2GB default on a 32bit OS, credit for this goes to striker475, the original Battlog topic: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654489420350764/

Well, I loved the following single players :

Bad Company

Bad Company 2

Modern Warfare

Modern Warfare 2

MOH

(all on pS3)

And I'm excited for this too :) Just because it's not 100% perfect, I guarantee you it's not 's**t' like some idiots here are saying. God, it's like you lot have made a f**king video game of this quality before and think you're amazing at it.

Sorry guys, but I'm looking forward to SP as much as MP :) Maybe I have lower expectations ... or perhaps I have more realistic ones?

100% Agreed!

Great. So I just got the game and installed it from the DVD in Origin. Was all fine and activated.. Then I try to play the game and it then tells me that it failed to activate >_< The only thing I changed was my Origin name after the install of BF3 :/

Edit: So the authentication servers apparently are down.

472MB day 1 patch for PC :o

better then the mandatory 2 gigs you would have to download for BC2 for every patch...

lower expectations. how anyone calls this good must have crappy standards. it's effin easy to. AI is dumb as ****. (only gone half way through, but effin stupid AI). none what they do makes sense. they just fire at you praying they can cut through your cover...

What a pile of **** orrible is, first the damn thing cant even update itself, which steam has done for years, it tells you that you have to download another installer in order to update. then when updated/reinstalled the friggin activation servers are offline. **** Off EA and your crappy servers and crappy pretend steam client. Ass Holes. Why the **** did I buy this game.

I keep getting 'You were disconnected from login server'.

Will this help?

Relax dude, they are having issues .. **** happens.

Personally I haven't had any problems, guess i'm lucky

Is it just me or the SP mode its just way too short! If you played continuously for 3hrs you can easily finished it. I'm quite disappointed but nevertheless the game looks good and the story is alright. If you want a bit of challenge then go for Hard settings otherwise you'll be going through the game like a sharp knife through butter.

For those having issue activating it in origin so you are unable to install it, go to https://activate.ea.com/ and activate it there, jsut put in product key and login details (will take a few min to open up the page) then close origin and open it back up, BF3 should now be there, so you can now either download it or install it from the disc (which im doing now)

This wont allow you to play it online though as it will need activating again after the patch i think

is any having issues with the CD key in the LE version from a SHOP. Ive read reports that people have bought the LE version and when they enter in their CDKEY its just the normal version. (Receiving standard key in BF3 Limited Edition packaging). And when contacting EA they are telling people to contact the shop you bought it from cause its not there fault!

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
    • Yes, yes, YES, thank you AMD. Now display audio, night light, cleartype, etc, all work again.
