is any having issues with the CD key in the LE version from a SHOP. Ive read reports that people have bought the LE version and when they enter in their CDKEY its just the normal version. (Receiving standard key in BF3 Limited Edition packaging). And when contacting EA they are telling people to contact the shop you bought it from cause its not there fault!

I don't get why everyone keeps using their live chat support... Are people afraid of picking up a phone?

I used both (live chat when their phone support was closed) and, yes, their live chat is slow, outsourced and lacking knowledgable reps, but their phone support was absolutely amazing; easily one of the best I've ever used. The reps I spoke with genuinely knew what they were doing and put a lot of effort in to help.

Seriously, if you're having trouble with anything, call their phone support! They're amazing.

i dont know if we have this in NZ.

The Good

  • The four classes work well and make sense
  • The vehicles provide many tactical possibilities
  • Jets are back!
  • The maps are varied and interesting
  • The Frostbite 2 engine provides amazing visuals and physics
  • The point system rewards different styles of play
  • Battlelog makes it easy to track your progress
  • The engine allows for everything from the sun to dust to hurt visibility, leading to extra tension
  • Unlocking new weapons and items is addictive

The Bad

  • Why does the chat box take up so much space on my screen?
  • The minimap is hard to read at a glance
  • Some maps become cramped with 64 players
  • Stability still needs to be improved
  • There are many game modes, but it's hard to find servers that are running something that isn't Conquest or Rush. This may also work under "The Good"

The Ugly

  • If you use the tactical light, you are a terrible human being, and are more of a danger to your own team than the enemy

Verdict: Buy

he really really liked it. hurry up and get on steam already :(

Hey guys got a question. So is it only certain classes have certain weapons? Like the Assault class can't have the M4A1 etc etc?

Yes, some weapons are only available in certain classes. There are other weapons that are available in all classes, like shotguns, some pistols and certain rifles.

bummer. I really wanted to use the M4 on Assault. Ah well. I guess I'll have to stick with my Engineer.

The Ugly

  • If you use the tactical light, you are a terrible human being, and are more of a danger to your own team than the enemy

This times infinity.

So many wasted bullets and accuracy rating, by turning and seeing a stupid flashlight and firing only to realize it was a teammate, then we both get killed cause I couldn't see the enemy behind him. The tact. light and its users can burn in hell.

And enemies with it... doesn't really "blind" me, just paints a big target of "direction to shoot in for easy kill." I still hate the SOB though.

Anyone got tips on flying the jets with keyboard and mouse (Didn't play Bf2 very much)?

Otherwise I may need to connect my joystick

What's wrong with the keyboard and mouse? :) They work fine with both chopper and jet. Though I use the WASD + Keypad for chopper and leave my mouse, easier that way somehow (did this back in BF1942)

I find it really hard to turn and aim in a jet, I continually crash. I guess I just need some practice but its annoying for the team if I keep crashing their jets

lol fair enough :D I've "decommisioned" my joystick years ago.. ever since FPS games started to boom, there have been no great simulation games anymore.... miss my Freespace 2 and the Tie Fighter series

I don't use it (stick with laser sight), but I can see the appeal. For those who prefer up-close fighting inside of buildings rather than running around in the open, it can be pretty useful. Whereas the laser in your face gives away position, a flashlight from 15ft away totally disorients you like a flashbang. I usually die due to flashlight maybe once every three rounds. Is it worth the annoyances? Probably not, but it's not *that* bad.

My main complaint is the stupid mortars that are killing me, lol. Oh well, it's my next Support unlock, so time for sweet revenge.

how do i check my nat?

its been fine since midnight launch and today..

edit now it works

They may have just been updating servers, its just gone midnight here in the UK so its now officially been launched.

Might have just been some tweaks or fresh servers starting up to cope with the extra players about to come online.

    • Meta launches new AI glasses in 26 styles and Muse Spark multimodal capabilties by Pradeep Viswanathan Meta today announced a new line of Meta Glasses in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. The new AI glasses build on the company’s existing smart glasses portfolio, which is sold under the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta brands. The new Meta Glasses start at just $299, are compatible with prescription lenses, and will be available in 26 styles across different colors, lenses, and frames. At launch, Meta Glasses will be available in three frame styles. The Meta Adventurer features a clean rectangular design and comes in Standard and Large sizes. The Meta Fury is a bolder frame for users who want a stronger look. Meta Glasses by Kylie is a slim oval frame designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. Similar to existing Meta AI Glasses, the new Meta Glasses include a dedicated action button that can be used to quickly access Meta AI or launch a favorite feature. They also feature open-ear speakers for calls, music, and more. Meta has also included a multi-mic array with wind noise reduction for calls and messaging. Users can capture photos and videos hands-free using voice commands. Meta claims more than eight hours of battery life, while the portable charging case can provide up to 40 additional hours. As expected, Meta Glasses come pre-loaded with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark from day one. Muse Spark is the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs with improved multimodal capabilities. The same Meta AI upgrade is also now available on existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta Glasses in the US and Canada via an update. With the Muse Spark-powered AI assistant, Meta AI in the new glasses can provide smarter answers, understand what the user is seeing, and help with daily tasks such as calendar management and navigation. Meta also announced an upcoming feature called the dynamic photo feature, which captures multiple frames and recommends the best one. Pedestrian navigation is also coming soon to these glasses. Meta is also adding support for 14 new live translation languages, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, and Korean. The new Meta Glasses are available starting today through Meta.com, Best Buy, Amazon, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and select retailers.
    • is that a personal preference? whether it is or isn't, i get where you're coming from. i try to get and use fully open sourced applications whenever i can but there are instances where i find a superior product that is closed sourced. in these cases i do my best to learn about the company, who operates it, their background, parent and sub structure etc. to some extent, depending on "the smell test". i really believe that Syncback is really and truly something great. even if you don't use it, it's always worth a recommendation to someone else, especially if that someone else is not very computer literate. for someone of your calibre you, you'll manage just fine with Syncthing, no doubt about it.
    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
