How good is the Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000?

Recommended Posts

I'm interested in buying the Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000. I'm not looking to buy a webcam to chat over the internet, but rather, I'm thinking of buying one so I can take some decent quality digital photos and videos. I'm looking for a decent webcam that can help take some photos in good quality and can also capture some videos that I can record as home movies. I mainly would like to get a webcam to take some photos of stuff I would like to sell on Ebay.

So, with this webcam, how good is the photo and video capture quality?

I can tell you, I have a VX3000....and not only does it suck, but I punch a kitten every time I go to use it

Seriously....if budget permits, try to go higher...like a VX5000...you WON'T be sorry!

MS hardware is awesome, but not the VX3000....it's like a cheap clone...I have used a VX5000, and dang, it may be more expensive, but it sure is worth it! (in other words, you get what you pay for)

My VX3000 takes good pics as well, but for a webcam, it's not all that it's cracked up to be....it's your call, but I'd still try to get a VX5000 on sale somewhere if I were you....TRUST me....you won't regret it! :)
