Firefox loads parts of the default theme based on what Windows theme you use, so when you use a custom theme it breaks and random theme parts are never loaded. Tons of apps have that issue, and it's probably one of the reason MS never opened up theming.

Edit: I like the new site identity block (I think they're going to bring back the old green background for EV-SSL certs), but I'm not entirely sure how much I like SSL/no SSL differing only by having a globe/padlock icon. You can't rely on a plain SSL certificate to tell you anything other than the fact that the connection is encrypted, and just repeating the domain like it used to isn't needed much now, but I'm still not sure.

Some mockups (i don't know if this is how Firefox would end up looking like) for Metro and Win8

IMO its way more Metroish than IE10 , although it has curves but the colors and simplicity make its UI much richer

Rounded tab != metro overall UI.

Hopefully MS will slap them on the face before putting it on the store.

I guess browsers can be installed via Win 32 installers , they are the "3rd category" Metro apps , correct me if m wrong.

Hmm , i don't know what makes them stick to rounded tabs and UI so badly when everyone is not agreeing. Let's see how they implement it , coz last time they tried curved tabs connecting to nav bar , they flunked.

From what I've found on the internet, this category of "metro apps" have to be installed like old applications, they won't be on the store.

About the rounded tab ... I guess it looks nice on OSX :/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in IE, you can switch from tab to tab with a gesture that doesn't require to bring the top panel with the tabs; hence showing tabs is useless.

Just because IE does something doesn't mean it's the best way of doing so, having to flip back and forwards to find the right tab sounds worse than just looking at thumbnails or clicking the tap up the top.

Firefox Nightly is now updated to 15 after second respin.

Also much more contenteditable support landed...

FF8 - 611

FF9 - 669

FF10 - 671

Although everyone knows how new Release mechanism works now but if you still want to know when would a certain version/beta version/aurora version/nightly version would come out , you can use https://mail.mozilla...html?view=month

I would request moderators to allow me to edit the very first post of this thread so that i can add important links like these every now and then ... Else you can add them :) Like the one i just mentioned. (And the TM Link is broken...)

Hey! 2k Posts :woot:

Firefox 12 is final, so the other versions all go up one version:

  • Firefox 12 Beta -> 13 Beta
  • Firefox 13 Aurora -> 14 Aurora
  • Firefox 14 Nightly -> 15 Nightly

Your choices are: Either live without Lastpass until it works with version 15 or go back to Beta/Aurora.

I thought that was the version number changes so I went looking for Aurora but it still told me 13 was the download

    • no thanks is overpriced and its not the fastest ram neither.
    • It is, but it also has a bad performance reputation even on high-end gaming PCs. Some people say it's the engine's fault, others say it's the games developers' fault, who knows... At the end of the day, for the average gamer, the take is this: PC game with Unreal Engine 5? Be affraid and cross your fingers, it's a 50/50 chance.
    • 25th anniversary Xbox Series X unveiled with classic translucent green design by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The Xbox Games Showcase had a new Xbox console reveal from Microsoft celebrating the gaming brand turning 25 years old. This is to be a new limited edition Xbox Series X and controller collection that draws on the design of the rare green version of the original Xbox console. The "XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition" is coming out later this year with its matching controller. "Inspired by the look and feel of the original XBOX console, both the console and controller feature a translucent OG Green design, with subtle tributes to the journey we’ve been on together," said Microsoft in the announcement. The Xbox Series X|S line has received several new variants over the years, but this will be the first edition with a translucent design. The Xbox Series X25 will have one terabyte of internal storage and a green light on the X to signify the console lines' history. There is a 25th anniversary logo printed on the front plate. Microsoft is also teasing that the community will be able to find "a few hidden surprises throughout" the machine as well. As for the new X25 Special Edition Xbox controller, this is also coming with the classic translucent green design for its front and back plates. "From the original ABXY colors, to the timeless green, every detail calls back to the beginning, including the bumpers honoring the original black and white buttons on the original “Duke” controller," says the company about this release. "The back case and battery door are fully transparent, revealing the classic XBOX logo." The XBOX 25th anniversary collection, containing both the translucent console and controller, will be available for purchase in November 2026 as a limited-edition release. Microsoft will be offering the new XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition separately as well. Pricing details and pre-order information will be coming later.
