XerXis Posted April 18, 2011 Share Posted April 18, 2011 I do a lot of skydiving and sailing and I'm thinking of buying a wide lens action camera. As far as I can see I have two choices, the GoPro and the Drift innovation HD-170. However the Gopro is waterproof whereas the HD-170 is only water resistant (which might be a problem for sailing). The HD-170 does have some compelling features however and has less height on a helmet (which is important for skydiving). Anyone with experience with one these systems? And anyone who can tell me if the water resistance of the HD170 might be problem while sailing, or should it be able to handle some waves?
