Your help will be most appreciated

** Correct me if I am wrong but from what I can see the only difference between the two models is the Zoom lens.

Raven: Hi, thanks for reaching out to Samsung tech support. How can I help you today?

John: Hello Raven. I got a quick question for you regarding the Samsung HMX-H300 and the Samsung HMX-Q10

Raven: Hello John.

Raven: Sure, please go ahead.

John: Is it true that the Samsung HMX-Q10 has better video quality than the HMX-H300?

John: I noticed the effective pixels on the H300 is 1.75 and on the Q10 is 2.07, yet the H300 is $100.00 more than the Q10

Raven: No, HMX-H300 has the better video quality than HMX-Q10.

John: So why does the H300 have less pixels than the Q10? Wouldn't less pixels mean less quality?

Raven: No, more pixels would give you better picture quality.

Raven: But the lens used in both of them are different.

Raven: In HMX-H300, Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan HD lens is used.

Raven: Where as in HMX-Q10 a normal lens is used.

Raven: Hence, HMX-H300 has better video quality than HMX-Q10.

John: I am looking at the Q10 right now and it says on the front of it: Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan HD. So is that a less quality lens than the one on the H300?

John: here's where I am seeing that at:

Raven: Okay. Please allow me to check with it.

Raven: Thanks.

Raven: Thanks for waiting.
