Amazfit enters audio category with the new Amazfit PowerBuds TWS earphones

Amazfit, the smart wearable brand from Huami, is now entering the audio accessories segment with its maiden product - Amazfit PowerBuds TWS earphones.

These come with heart rate monitoring and magnetic ear hooks and are marketed as ‘professional fitness earphones’ in line with the fitness pitch of the company's smart wearables.

The PowerBuds pack in magnetic sports ear hooks, an in-ear PPG heart rate sensor, and environmental noise cancellation with dual-microphone noise reduction to filter the background noise during calls. The earphones also feature tap control as well as in-ear detection and come with IP55 water and dust resistance rating.

The company claims 8 hours of play time on a single charge with the charging case offering another 24 hours of listening time.

The Amazfit PowerBuds will debut in India on Amazon as well as on Amazfit's online store on August 6 but no pricing information has been shared at the moment. There's also no word on their availability in other markets.
