Chinese manufacturer Chuwi has released numerous Windows 10 devices over the last 18 months, including the Vi8 Plus mini-tablet, the Hi12 slate, and the HiBook 2-in-1. The company is now preparing to launch another addition to its range, offering a similar mix of affordability and ample specs for casual users.
The new device is the LapBook 14.1, a notebook featuring a 14.1-inch Full HD (1920x1080px) IPS LCD with 8mm bezels. Other key features include:
- Intel's new Apollo Lake N3450 CPU with HD 500 (Gen 9) graphics
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB storage (eMMC)
- 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi
- 2 x USB Type-A ports
- 9mm-thick at its thinnest point, rising to 20mm
- 9000mAH LiPo battery
The device will ship with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update pre-installed. Chuwi told Neowin that the LapBook 14.1 will be released before the end of this month, and should be priced under $300.
