When it comes to brands for smartphones in the United States, Coolpad isn’t typically recognized as a major player but does manage to offer various handsets here and there in the lower to mid-tier range.
For its latest offering, the firm has kicked it up a notch, bringing a more refined design that looks a bit familiar, along with better internals.
The Coolpad Cool M7 offers:

- Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB internal storage
- 12MP camera at f/1.8 and a 13MP front-facing camera at f/2.2
- Fingerprint sensor
- 3,200mAh battery
- Android 7.1.1
- USB Type-C
As you can tell from the specifications, this is quite a decent handset and looks pretty good to boot. The Coolpad Cool M7 is priced at ¥2,699 which is around $405 when converted. Per usual, this will make its debut in Asia and there hasn't been mention of bringing it to other regions like the US and UK. For those in the US, you'll have to be content with the Coolpad Defiant, a $100 handset that is now available for T-Mobile.
