Google posts details about Android's December security update

It's a new month and Google has published its fixes in a security bulletin post. The update was transmitted to Android partners and the update will most likely go live soon to Google devices.

With the start of a new month, Google is ready to release its latest security update for Android devices. The latest update will be current as of December 5 and the build should arrive tomorrow. This update will most likely land on Google's own products first, like its Pixel and Nexus handsets.

Although only a small set of Android users will see the update tomorrow, Google has posted a bulletin on what changes are being made to up the security on its devices. This might not be too interesting to most, but there are patches for the framework, media framework, kernels, and system areas of the OS.

As noted before, this update will most likely go live for Google's own devices first, but the firm does notify other Android partners at least a month in advance about these known issues so that they can choose to fix them in their own OS builds if inclined. Those that are hoping to grab the images of the update will need to wait until tomorrow. The update should also go live over-the-air (OTA) to supported devices around the same time.
