Google Services like Drive, Gmail, Keep, and others currently experiencing service outage [Update]

A number of Google services including Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Keep, and other services are currently experiencing an outage. Users are reporting that they are unable to upload files to Drive or YouTube, while in Gmail, users are unable to reply to emails. The issue is affecting both Gmail and G Suite customers.

Google has acknowledged the issue on its G Suite Status page and it is currently investigating the issue. As per the status page, the outage first started happening around 6:29AM BST. Google intends to provide an update on the outage by 9AM BST/4AM EST.

There's a spike in reports of Gmail and other Google services being down on DownDetector as well.

If you are affected by the ongoing service outage at Google, your only option is to wait for the company to resolve the issue. Given that millions of people are currently relying on Google services while working from home, this service outage has come at the worst time possible.

Update: Google has confirmed "Gmail sending issues, Meet recording issues, Creating file issues in Drive, CSV user upload issues in Admin Console, Posting message issues in Google Chat."

Update 2: Google has posted an update stating that Gmail is restored for most users, adding that all other services will be restored in the "near future" although that is an estimate that may still change.

Gmail service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.

You can keep an eye out on the Service Details page for additional updates.

Update 3: Google is reporting that all services have been restored.
