Hands on with Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14291 for PCs, including Edge extensions

Yesterday was a big day for Windows fans. Windows 10 Mobile was finally released for older devices, those devices were added for Fast ring eligibility, and then later on, Microsoft released Windows 10 build 14291 for both PC and Mobile.

The new build, which comes from the Redstone development branch, contains a few interesting features, such as extensions for Microsoft Edge. Currently, there's only three extensions available, including Microsoft Translator, Reddit Enhancement Suite, and Mouse Gestures. Microsoft has promised AdBlock, Adblock Plus, Amazon, LastPass, Evernote, and more coming later this year.

Of course, Edge extensions aren't all. We also get a new Maps app in the build, which couldn't have come at a better time, given the departure of HERE. There's also a redesigned Alarms & Clock app, along with a combined Insider Hub and Windows Feedback app called Feedback Hub.

This is the first Redstone build that actually seems really exciting, so check out our hands-on video:
