Instagram for Windows 10 PCs and Mobile picks up live video sharing

Back in November, Facebook introduced Live Stories for Instagram. This feature allows users to directly share a live feed with followers, a similar feature Facebook introduced called Live Steaming.

The key difference with Instagram Live Stories is that the broadcasted content is completely ephemeral; similar in nature to Snapchat whereby the video only lasts as long as it is live, however, there are no replays.

Instagram Stories has proved to be an insanely popular feature, boasting 100 million users daily. Today, Facebook announced a new update is rolling out to Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile users that will introduce Live Video on Instagram Stories.

Instagram Live is accessible in a few different areas within the app. It also has a dedicated section inside the Explore tab, which suggests live videos you may want to check out from some of Instagram's popular users.

The update is set to arrive in waves, so if you have not received it yet, it may take a while to reach your device.
