Microsoft celebrates Star Trek's 50th Anniversary with Rewards offer

"Hailing on all frequencies!” Star Trek celebrated its 50th anniversary last week, and today Microsoft is offering a chance to earn rewards using the Microsoft Rewards program.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek, Microsoft kicked off a chance to earn Microsoft Reward points by renting or buying any of the Star Trek shows or movies through the Windows Store. Anyone who takes advantage of this offer can also be amongst the first to pre-order the newly released, Star Trek Beyond.

The Microsoft Rewards program, originally titled Bing Rewards, gives users the ability to not only earn points by searching with Bing, but also using a slew of Microsoft services such as Microsoft Edge and shopping with Microsoft.

To get started on a Star Trek marathon and earn points while doing so, just rent or buy any selected Star Trek titles in the Windows 10 Store. Movie rentals will earn you 500 reward points, 3,000 points for movie purchases and 4,000 reward points when you purchase a complete season.

To browse the titles available head over to the Windows Store here.
