Microsoft shows off Spartan on Windows 10 for Phones

On stage at MWC in Barcelona, Microsoft unveiled some new features that will be coming as part of Windows 10 for phones. Among these, the company showed off their new browser: Spartan.

Microsoft unveiled today some new features that will be part of Windows 10 for phones. Among these the company showed off for the first time Spartan, running on a phone.

Unfortunately the company didn't spend too much time talking about the browser. Spartan on phones comes with a familiar clean UI, a point emphasized by the presenter. Then we saw the reading list functionality that allows users to strip away all the chrome on webpages and give users a clean reading experience.

Microsoft also talked about universal apps and Cortana, and also unveiled the brand new Lumia 640 at the event.
