Microsoft's E3 showing moves to a new venue, will be its biggest yet

The Microsoft Theater

Microsoft's plans for E3 2018 were announced today, with the Xbox briefing set to begin on June 10 at 1pm PT, and the company promises the event will be its "biggest showing ever." However, unlike previous years, the briefing, FanFest activities, as well as hands-on demos for attendees will be held at the Microsoft Theater, located nearby the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) at L.A. Live.

The company has made the change in collaboration with the E3 organizers, Entertainment Software Association, with corporate VP and chief marketing officer at Xbox, Mike Nichols adding, "Not only does the Microsoft Theater allow us to centralize our Xbox presence at E3, but its size enables us to include even more fans and partners in the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing than ever before."

Microsoft isn't leaving behind the official E3 show floor at the LACC completely, however, as a new Mixer dedicated booth will be present on location. While there is no information yet on what games will be shown at the Xbox briefing, we could see new Halo and Gears of War announcements, and maybe even the first in-game footage of CD Projekt Red's upcoming highly anticipated RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.
