New "Death Stranding" trailer debuts at E3 2018, giving first glimpse of gameplay

It has been a couple of years since Hideo Kojima first started teasing his, at the time, new game, Death Stranding. While there was a lot of beautiful footage of the title, most of it looked to be cinematics, not giving fans much of a clue of how the actual game would play. Today, that all changes, as a new trailer was revealed during Sony's E3 press conference, showing off what look to be gameplay footage.

As you might expect from Kojima Productions, the graphics look fantastic, with the alien landscapes being strange yet familiar, and also quite vast. While Norman Reedus is the star of the game, if the trailer is any indication, you could be put in charge of various characters throughout the story.

Despite giving us a ton of gameplay footage, there is still the matter of the story, which the trailer doesn't really delve into at all. But don't take our word for it, watch the eight-minute trailer yourself and see if you can spot anything interesting to share. Death Stranding does not have a release date and will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
