Razer's next handset could have Chroma visuals to delight the senses

If you were saddened that Razer's first smartphone didn't have any Chroma effects, you might be in for a treat with its successor, as it is being reported that it will make use of LED lighting.

It has been rumored that a successor to the Razer Phone is in the works. While the leaked specifications of the upcoming phone probably won't excite or catch anyone by surprise, there might be some interest when it comes to the exterior look of the phone.

According to Roland Quandt, who is known for digging up smaller details about unannounced products, it looks like the Razer Phone 2 could arrive with the firm's Chroma effects in tow. If unfamiliar, this basically means that there will be some form of LED lighting on the unit, similar to what can be found on its laptops, computer peripherals, and other products.

Apparently, Razer is sourcing its LED controller from Texas Instruments in order to make this a possibility. While this will certainly be a nice effect, it won't be the first time we are seeing this, as it can currently be found on a number of gaming handsets.
