Google has confirmed that Instagram was draining the batteries of Android smartphones and explained how to fix it.

Google today revealed that an old bug believed to have been fixed way back in 2017 has now resurfaced in newer Android kernel versions affecting the Pixel 2 phones and some devices from other firms.
