Windows reserves roughly 7GB of storage on your PC without you knowing about it, even if it doesn't use that space immediately. Fortunately, there is a way to disable it.

Microsoft has announced Reserved Storage, a feature that will hold space on your PC for temporary files created by apps and services, such as Windows Update. It will take at least 7GB.
